Did Manziel get...........

Sarcasm in the print form has to be done right, properly set up, and not too subtle. No voice inflection here.

Just add an additional period, and even the Fu*king dummies get it..

Dictionary.com:
The distinctive quality of sarcasm is present in the spoken word and manifested chiefly by vocal intonation ...Sarcasm can frequently be unnoticed in print form, oftentimes requiring the intonation or tone of voice to indicate the quip.

Carry on, Forrest. :grenade:

Not sure how Manziel won the Heisman...guy was only a 3 star recruit coming out of high school in 2010 :coffee:
That is a good question. Manziel will be a hell of a quarterback in college but will end up doing nothing at the NFL level just like Eric Crouch or Jason White. Manti Te'o however should be a stud at the NFL level and was pulling for a defensive player to win the Heisman instead of another quarterback... :coffee:

How they do in the NFL has nothing to do with whether they should win the Heisman or not. It's a college award, not an award based on your future potential. Also, I think it's a little too early to write off a redshirt-freshman from being able to play in the NFL, but that's just me.

One of the stupid posts of the year. Why put religion in a post, who gives a crap. Besides, is this much different than us catholics believing in virgin birth? How about we chat about how manti did well to get second behind the most surprising player of the season!

Good point. I bring it up because Te'o went all Teobow and spent a good portion of the awards ceremony talking about religion.

Overall,Collin Klein is just as bad. They said he didn't kiss his girlfriend until they got married. I call Bullsh1t.

I believe in God, attend church sometimes but for some reason the guys who wear it on their sleeve rub me the wrong way. Kurt Warner used to drive me nuts also.

Is it because they make you feel guilty for how you live your life?

Jesus, Himself, was turned off by this stuff. Somewhere in the NT He said, in effect, "When you pray, do it in secret, in your own home. Do not do as the Pharisees do, pray in public for all to see." Something like that.

Just another example of recruiters "missing" on a player. It happens all the time!

When you throw that many NFL TD passes, you can say what ever want IMO. Kurt was a stud!

2009 - Toby Gerhart

Carries Yards YPC Long TDs Rec YDS Avg Long
343 1,871 5.5 61 28 11 157 14.3 33 0

He put up those numbers against 5 top 10 defenses

In 2009 Gerhart won the Doak Walker Award[1] and was the runner-up for the 2009 Heisman Trophy.[2] He received 1,276 points in the Heisman voting, coming in second to Mark Ingram, Jr., who received 1,304 points; the 28-point margin was the closest vote in Heisman history.

2009 - Mark Ingram Jr

Carries Yards Avg TDs Long
271 1,678 6.1 17 70

Obviously inferior numbers Ingram had and he only went up against 1 or 2 top 10 defenses but won it because you can never ever give the trophy to the best player in college football especially if they are white.

The only reason Manziel won it is because he got to Alabama before Manti.

That and the SEC thinks it's good because it beats the snot out of itself.

The only top 25 SEC teams to play ranked out-of-conference opponents were Alabama, Florida, and S. Carolina.

-Alabama beat Michigan, who ND also beat.

-Florida beat Florida State, a team that only played 1 other ranked team (Clemson).

-S. Carolina beat Clemson, who only played 1 other ranked team and lost (Florida State).

Hey there watch it pal! :x

You know after seeing that burst of yours to head off the SDSU bus with your jackrabbit on a stick you moved ahead of the Alabama Ingram and got my vote.

I'm no Bible thumper, but I had to Google your reference. There are many references:

◄ Matthew 6:5 ►
New Living Translation (©2007)
"When you pray, don't be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I tell you the truth, that is all the reward they will ever get.

Wonder what Tebow would say?

I really didn't want to respond to this, because I didn't want this thread to go further off topic, but oh well.

When you're quoting this against people like Tebow and Warner, you're taking things massively out of context. If you'd like to inquire further into what I'm talking about, just PM me so we don't clutter up the board.
