Detroit Lions Uniforms . . .

If our school colors are copper, silver & gold, where did the maroon come from?
Maroon and Silver are our spirit colors and have been our uniform colors for all but '68-95. No one has ever come up with a copper for a uniform that I am aware of. Texas burnt orange was not the answer, nor was babysh!t yellow an answer for gold.

I prefer our original colors of Copper and Gold. The maroon and silver in the modern age from 1996 on are for people who don’t remember the Old Dornblaser. A lot of other new fans don’t even remember Idaho State being the real rival in the conference.

Great question. Original colors or bust.
Agree; the original colors were maroon and silver.

Nah, the Copper and Gold are the originals. Like we wore for the first NC. I guess some people forgot.

Old Dornblaser was where the University Center is today. And the colors were maroon and silver.

No, I guess you can't read. Texas burnt orange and babysh!t yellow were used from '68-'95 ONLY. All other years, starting in about 1897 until today were maroon and silver.

News flash: the school played football prior to 1996, and our colors were Copper and Gold! Maybe take a stroll through the Champions Center or read a picture book. Sheesh!

Right on location, wrong on colors. Copper and Gold. End of conversation.

Copper and Gold! Any true fan knows it. In fact, until we return to the original copper and gold colors, I might consider withdrawing all support for the university.

The original classic.

Circling back to the original question, I didn't care for the Lions unis, way too much dull gray like they were rolling around in the ashes of a burnt down house.

A better shade of silver with more accent color might be ok, ours could be much better with maroon rather than blue.
