becoming a problem. reader out, jamaar hurt. we're down to seven productive players. qvale is foul-prone, cherry needs a breather, selvig remains inconsistent. tink's a great recruiter but adams, wood and hutchison are busts so far. can any emerge? contribute...anything? therein may lie the key to the season.
Jamar will be back in two weeks. Autry will emerge, hopefully.
Wood is a total bust, Tinks should have ditched him for Autry before the conference started.
It's a young team and it's damn near impossible to recruit to this conference, there are only so many Qvales and Straits to go around out west. Further, the refs in conference try their damnedest to make Q a non factor in our games. But, this is what the idiots that love the Obese Sky wanted.
We do need help off the bench, but like I said, it's the Big Sky, no team is going to be able to recruit 2 Cherry's, 2 AJ's, 2 Jamars, 2 Selvigs, a Criswell, a Strait and a Quavle to all be on the same team at the same time. I do question the choice to get two guards instead of another big, weird decision, but the kids that are coming in can score, and that's what we need more than anything.
We had the chance to get into a better conference that attracts higher caliber recruits and we botched it.
Tinkle can't really be doing any better with what he has to work with, Hutchenson and Reader were the absolute best we could get at the time, it's not like we missed out on anyone there, better players went to play for programs that are in better conferences.
