Don't forget the kid from Idaho who grey shirted
last year..

Wasn't that Grossman? I have him on the list...

It was Noah kaschmitter DL, he will be coming in next year so has not played so perhaps doesn't belong on the list.

Yeah....was kind of trying to limit it to guys who've made a contribution this year in that 2nd list...I'm sure he'll be a good one tho.

The one thing that has stood out the past several games is the absolute amazing amount of depth and talent we have in some keys areas of our team. It just wears teams down, and I think is a huge piece of why we’re so successful in the 2nd half of games. To wit:

Our All-American QB goes down for 2+ games, and the 2nd string guy comes in and we don’t miss a beat, going 3-0 during his absence (ok, 2.5-0)....a 2nd string guy that could start on more than half the teams in the BSC.

The flexibility of Rice, O’Connell, Babros, etc to play DE or LB...

Knight goes out for a rest and is replaced by Ostmo. Surely, a differently style of runner, but JUST s effective and perhaps even more difficult to drag down. Ostmo takes a seat and in comes Turner. No worries!

The relentlessness of the D-line, with Sims & Gubner and Alford and Rice and O’Connell and Babros and Mamula and Demming and the list just goes on and on. Almost ZERO drop off, no matter who’s in the game. And that’s not even mentioning McGourin.

Lose our #1 WR? No problem. Up step Roberts & White & Toure to fill the void.

Nash Fouch and Corbin Walker are just thiiiiiis much below the starters....and with McGinnis and Pepe & in the wings at safety as well, we’ve got great depth there.

TE - Bingham & Demming....but if it’s Elwell, we’re good and there’s almost zero drop off.

Even the O-line, where we’ve got five good starters, but the 2nd team can rotate in and there’s little no drop off....and the signing of Dylan Cook and conversion to O-line might be the genius move of this decade.

Bobby has done really a phenomenal job for the most part in filling the holes that were there when he took over. Identifying talent and getting it onto the field somewhere.

Was GREAT to see Graves get a couple of catches yesterday as well....that’s a kid who needs to be on the field more than just special teams.

Just a couple of years ago, we had to have half our starting defense cover kicks so we could stop long returns....depth is key!!!
