Delay of Game First Play....

As the game started I kept thinking the griz were rattled. The moment was bigger than they could handle. The false start. The fumble. The crowd was getting to Sneed. He was running around trying to call plays. But I kept expecting the griz to come around. Settle in. But they never did exactly.

Yeah, obviously you get beat by 30 and you can't swing the blame hammer without hitting about 17 people. But there is no way this staff should get a pass for this. They clearly were not ready themselves, did not have the team ready to play, and were out-coached for 60 minutes during the game. BH should take a long look in the mirror after this. It's on his shoulders.

I don't disagree with what you've written above. This one was ugly, and coaches own it.

But, I also think the fan base expectations have exceeded reality.

The Griz lines are still a work in progress. When up against elite defensive front 7s like sac and cats it is obvious. The cat running game is elite in large part because their O-line is superb.

They are back in the playoffs...an important step.

Did fan expectations really really exceed reality? we're talking about an ugly loss to the Bobcats, not an ugly loss to NDSU

So you don’t like being 9-3 and a possible seeded team in the playoffs?

Personally, I love ALL that.

What I don’t love is losing to the cats by 30, when it’s obvious our staff didn’t have the team prepared and couldn’t make in game adjustments.

Yeah. I could’ve skipped that part too

Another observation I had was that UM leisurely strolled out of the tunnel. Didn’t run out. No smack talk to the crowd. I don’t think anyone was even carrying a flag. At the time it came across as focused, but the whole thing seemed a little flat.

Noticed that too. Did not seem characteristic. Very passive.
