In 20 mins a press conference will take place and MD will be resigning as HC.

Its a done deal
With the Masters starting in a week and a half it wouldn't surprise me.

Gotta hand it to you, it did get my attention. It would be on par for him to do so at the least opportune moment. We continue to endure the Gene Carlson era again in the 21st century.

:? :? :?

Gene Carlson won 16 games in FOUR years. Delaney (even after a 5-6 first season) has won 15 games in TWO years. He will easily double Carlson's win total if he were to stay another year beyond this coming year.

Seriously, you are going to use Carlson as your comparison. That is pre-Wash Griz stadium when it was hard to recruit great athletes. Delaney was given some damn good athletes and didn't know how to coach them (regardless of Johnson not being there) and last year he had a cake schedule as has been proven when you break down all the teams the Griz beat. I will be curious how the 2015 season turns out, when he has more of his recruits on the field. Since WA Griz was built, Mick and Mick have been our two worst coaches IMO.

To be clear, I did not pick Gene Carlson...statler did. The Griz went 10-3 last year. I'm sure there's a good team in there somewhere that they beat.

Best win for the Griz under Delaney was last year against the Cats. The Cats were 6-5 against D1 opponents making them the only win for the Griz in the past 2 years against a team with a winning record vs D1 opponents. So yep, there was a "good" win in there, even if it did come against a good team that was falling apart at the end of the season.

The other three above .500 teams (against D1) teams we played were all L's unfortunately.

Gene Carlson came to mind when typing. There was no intent on making him the best or the worst, but simply ineffective. Delaney is leading this program into the toilet, IMO.

A great coach will make a team of good players, great. An average coach will make a team of good players, well, just average. IMO, that’s where we are today, with MD.
