Defensive Scheme

The scheme worked great in 23 with a good DC. Tim and Coop have been a disaster. Bobby won’t do anything about it of course, but that’s the problem.
I think we were out coached on many levels
Yes we had so many injuries as well but some play calling was head scratching and I don't like to talk about the coaches ever
It's sad cause bobcats may run the table next year and we may have three loses
That was the window and I don't see it happening next year
We have 39 seniors they have 9

You sound like a sad man.
Hard to score when your defense is allowing 5+ minute drives. The offense just didn't get enough opportunities. Defense couldn't get a damn stop to save their lives...

I remember some.
Stfu... we seen what happened without Bobby and it turned UM into a downward spiraling university. It was horrible he was gone. Ill take this over 5-8 win seasons and missing playoffs all together

Good lord. Do you live in a cave. Could the same be said for Indiana? Really? Good coaches turn programs around quickly. U of M has more resources available than almost any FCS program. Stop with that BS. Absolute ridiculous statement. So many good coaches out there that are young and would bring new energy into the program. I am not buying that lame argument. Choate and Vigen didn’t have any problems getting things turned around.
Tim needs to retire and Coop needs to go. Do you remember Coop having good defenses at ISU? I don’t. The 3-3-5 worked great when Bradford was DC, and boy are we missing him.
The real reason that the griz are playing the 3-3-5 defense is because it fits the way they coach and recruit. Great interior lineman are rarely ever recruited out of the portal. They are built in the weight room in the off season and developed within a program. Hauck and company have chosen to recruit the elite hybred athletes instead of developing young players. You can't just decide one day to play a 4-3 or a 4-2 and be successful. It is not an overnight fix if you decide to go to a four man front after recruiting hybred athletes. An interior lineman rotation takes time to develop.
The Griz were 1 game away from the championship.. which Griz would definitely beat either Villanova or Illinois St. I believe we do need Defensive changes. Had the Griz had a competent D, things would be much different. Shit Griz got in good position to take the game over but, after Harper and Loud were out, MSU exposed Ford and completed deep passes with ease.
Also we are not Indiana, we don't have a bunch of money to throw around.
Stitt was an upcoming guy and did awful. High risk getting rid of this staff to bring in an unknown.

We will have to agree to disagree on a new coach. Totally agree on the defense. No depth at corner. Need hogs up front. Cruz and the DE’s are successful because of the Brott’s of the world.
This attitude is part of the problem. It should never be acceptable to lose to the cats so consistently that the program falls to mediocrity. Because that’s where it is headed. How many leave when they see that they either can’t develop here or they won’t be developed. Prepare for consistent 7 win seasons.
Our low risk option is beating the cats 1/3 of the time. Big game Bob can’t win anything outside of WaGriz. He did it ONCE in 1.0 and NONE in 2.0

Headed? That is where it has been for over a two decades. 2 of the last 3 seasons under Bobby have been the pinnacle.
You mean the pinnacle of mediocrity?
I am because nothing changes when it is so obvious to so many there are issues that continue. Going 2-8 against the cats in 2.0 makes me sad
