I like Niekamp's experience and background. And it sounds like Stitt went outside of his own circle to get him. That shows that he isn't completely hell bent on controlling every single thing like so many say he is.

Nope, and it doesn't even stop there. Stitt had 22 scholarships to work with at CSM, every other RMAC school had 36.AZGrizFan said:Does Chadron State's coach have the same restrictions as the coach of Mines? ACT's > 30, Engineering degrees only, etc., etc.?

If that was an NDSU fan, I'd guess donut glaze. But I'm really at a loss here... :?:

There was a spooky ghost with ectoplasm and stuff.
And that's the problem with guys like you. You make stuff up to achieve your own "projection." Nobody wants Stitt to fail except maybe the Wombats. But you don't need to lie about it. And you do.brewskis said:[I mean if you don't want the guy to succeed that's cool. Just follow Gregorak's lead and find a new team.
It's pretty clear you aren't familiar with DII football and the Mineral Industry educational system, which is EXACTLY where my ass is currently parked, and where Stitt's was for 15 years. Which is fine, it's a very small and very specific market.
What?? Sorry that really didn't make sense.UMGriz75 said:And that's the problem with guys like you. You make stuff up to achieve your own "projection." I'm just saying there is a lot indicating that Stitt is getting the job done (#1 recruiting class, strong support from other head coaches, big wins in 2015). Anyone overlooking that and trying to find reasons that he will fail is a cat fan.
There it is again, the overt dishonesty. Someone points to your MISrepresentation of his specific record at Mines and you act just like a little kid: 'YOU HATE STITT!"brewskis said:I'm just saying there is a lot indicating that Stitt is getting the job done (#1 recruiting class, strong support from other head coaches, big wins in 2015). It didn't "twist" anything. It looked at the factual record. That's the part you are "twisting." You guys get so married to certain coaches, its embarrassing. The "Mines" record is OK for a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference coach; it was "successful," but not "phenomenal," and there are some embarrassments there. "Phenomenal" is almost beating a John Wooden coached team in basketball. "Phenomenal" is not a 6-9 lifetime record against tiny school in the Nebraska Panhandle. Reality check, boys. Reality check.Alaska Griz said:Sounds like two different premises to me, with the latter just arguing for the sake of it. The first post deals with Stitt's ability to turn a terrible program into a respectable one by comparing CSM before Stitt and under Stitt, which was clearly where the use of "phenomenal" came from...this to say that CSM was a tough place to be successful and Stitt managed that, which I believe was part of the reason he was hired here. 75, your post doesn't seem to even deal with the meat of the post you responded to, merely twists it to ignore the pre-Stitt era at CSM that the poster was pointing out.
Trying to argue that a 6-9 lifetime record against a school like Chadron State is a "phenomenal" coaching accomplishment isn't just patently ridiculous, it makes anyone that tries to pretend that it is appear simply foolish.EverettGriz said:Just sayin.
In other words, Stitt actually has a 15-0 record against his RMAC nemesis. The record keepers at "Mines" didn't understand the "non-statistical factors." And he beat Chadron 55-0, just the scoreboard operators didn't understand "the non-statistical factors."HelenaHandBasket said:Everyone leave 75 alone. Right.
You see, that's how you win games. The scoreboard doesn't count. It's the imaginary outcomes by adult males who still believe in the Lone Ranger, the Cisco Kid and Roy Rogers. Really. They were on TV. They were phenomenal.
You are dense. "Explaining away" non-phenomenal results does not make them "phenomenal." That's the last resort of the pathetic whiners. "Johny has asthma, otherwise he would have been an All-Star." "I lost 55-0 to Chadron State but we all know I would have won it with more scholarships."HelenaHandBasket said:And for your information, CSM has limitations that no other RMAC school has, and whether you want to admit it or not, it does have an impact on performance and results.
CSM states that it gives financial aid to the following students in the Football program --68-- and that it complies with NCAA Div II standards of offering 36 full scholarships.HelenaHandBasket said:And for your information, CSM has limitations that no other RMAC school has, and whether you want to admit it or not, it does have an impact on performance and results.
