I am also worried as I talked with my buddy last night about the future of the recruits if Stitt is gone. It sounds like there might be a couple kids that would lose interest if Stitt is not around. He said that there are even a few verbals that we might see change. I hate taking his word, but he has not let me down on most things Griz for many years. He was actually one of the first people I ever heard talk about Stitts hiring and he talked about that before Delaney was even done.

There is a reason the have apprentices ," low cost why they learn "
I would be broke if my guys were paid like journeymen and they didn't know what the hell they were doing .
Things of value do take time but contracting is not one of them.

he is replace quickly..when it comes to contracting you don't have the luxury of time..time is
money..either you picked the right SUB or you replace him..Washington understand this..its not

I don't think zen is talking about individual projects. I think he means DW was able to become a donor after he spent decades of hard work building his companies.

I would consider myself a mid level donor. I never once considered withholding my donations to get what I want. I consider my donations too important to be subject to my emotions. To each his own, but I am an alumni, fan, and booster who doesn't feel any of that entitles me to a special place at the table. I have strong feelings about things that happened yesterday, but it Haslam's job to separate the emotions from decision making process. I am willing to let him do his job.

So far Hasslam has shown that he doesn't know his job - he's consulting the world about what to do while other Universities have already made their decisions - the day of or day after the last conference game. Why the delay and all the hyperbole in the newspaper about all that he's considering? Just get the damn job done and move on! Is it a tough decision? Yes, and it's his to make but he wants to wait until the emotion is relieved? Are you kidding? He shouldn't be thinking about emotion at this point. He should be thinking about saving his own job.

I think we are. We have a great RS freshman QB coming back. Loads of other talent.
I was thinking a what if..... What would we be looking at if Phillips hadn't gone down. Where would we be standing. Possibly a win against EWU. I think we would win that game, that was Jensen's first game. He did well but I think we win with Phillips. There is a good chance we would be 9-2 with Phillips.
I think Jensen is great, and will continue to do great. I just think we would have done better with Phillips, a senior veteran running the show. Even our D has improved from the first of the year till now.
So is the program moving in the right direction? I say yes.

I was speaking to Hasslam's comments in the paper. His decision shouldn't take that long.

It's not quite as obvious as you think. I'm glad that time is being taken for this. Emotional decisions are rarely the right one.

My personal belief is the when Stitt was hired, it was NOT for the long term but rather to install his "offense" achieve some success and move on and be succeeded by Gregorak. had Gregorak been a bit further removed from the goings on in Nevada given the political climate at he time he may have been hired then. Then the whole "plan" blew up. haf gregorak gone anywhere but MSU, it might still have worked out.

Stitt came into a tough situation mad tougher by not once having a starting QB for the season, short scholarships, and program starting/continuing a decline. (not to mention designed on an offensive scheme that had been obsolete for 20 years)

My guess is the announcement will come that Stitt and the U of M were unable to agree on terms saving face for everyone. Haslam will go to his list that he has undoubtedly been working on for at least a year.
