no guarantee Griz win if they attempt the field goals...but keep up the great effort :thumb:

Not sure who thought Davis was a quality win....

Every win is quality, it's those losses that really suck.
Especially the loss to Weber.
Joseppy said:You are kidding right? You all have bought into the Stitt theory of "we don't need any of them there field goal kickers" We need to go for the gold on every down, even if we can't run, are down to our 32nd QB, with no O line and we are at the NINE (9) yard line for a chip shot in the third quarter????? Yep, justification of that is beyond little league coaching knowledge. Get a life. He does not have the nuts to admit that HE screwed up and should have taken the FG. Arrogance and ego run his coaching and if it does not change, he will be gone and so will any shot at the playoffs for a couple of years. The guy cannot man up in a news conference.

Stitt is..... He's always defending his coaching decisions and saying the players don't execute... Even if 100% truth to the comment.....
YOU DON'T SAY THAT AS A HEAD COACH!!
Paraphrasing....... "I don't know what Brady was thinking.......?"
" We had the right play called it just wasn't executed"
Red flags to me.... Hope there's nothing to it.... Really I do..
Well, one may be true..... My point is coach shouldn't call out players in the media..AZGrizFan said:albinogriz said:Except Pflu wasn't throwing his players under the bus...AZGrizFan said:Yep, you geniuses have got him all figured out after six games. Well, to be fair, both of those statements are true.

You make good points and I too hope it's nothing... Just the way he has said some things has given me pause a few times..signedbewildered said:albinogriz said:Except Pflu wasn't throwing his players under the bus...AZGrizFan said:Yep, you geniuses have got him all figured out after six games. I have listened and listened carefully. I did pick up on the things you mentioned but it didn't seem that way to me (That he was pointing fingers at players.) I think he choses his words fairly carefully.
A reporter led in to the "grading a player or players" question a few games back when interviewing Stitt. I don't recall if there was someone specifically he was asked about or just the players in general. For some reason I think the reporter was referring to a questionable performance. (I very well could be wrong but this is the way I remember it so let me tell my story) Anyway Stitt said he didn't or wouldn't grade them (A,B,C) he would give them the "W" because that is the only letter that mattered.
Also, pretty sure he said the (no) field goal thing was on him.
There is certainly a fine line between shifting or taking responsibility and accountability. Has he suggested a few players could have done a thing or two differently? Yes. But he has also suggested he and his staff aren't right about their decisions 100% of the time.
It has to be kind of tough to answer some questions without naming a player and stating what they maybe could have done differently.
Anyway, albino, I'm not entirely positive you are wrong about Stitt shifting blame away from him, but I think and hope you are.

He probably didn't concern himself with parsing and weighing his every word. Now, he finds everthing out of his mouth is being disected and analyzed, quotes are taken out of context. Of course, the Missoulian's anti-Griz bias would not rear its head at every opportunity. This may just be a communication problem, something which never mattered before. He deserves the benefit of the doubt.

Let's see, Big G was the one who guaranteed that Ellis Henderson would never play again for the Griz. Now he is again spot on with his prediction that Portland State has no chance to win against MSU.
This G guy is unbelievably good at guarantees. I guess that PSU 59- 42 MSU score was a mirage.
