Dang it, I'm very sad for Will, as much as anybody, he deserves to have the final days of his senior season play out under more normal circumstances. A healthy season and he owns the conference steal record by now.

The Griz are by no means going to take a nose-dive because of his absences, but it will be felt.

we lost: of course, the great will cherry. i cannot imagine what an agonizing flight home that must have been for him. as a big proponent of the redshirt policy, i say, not in will's case. he was ready to play, and it would have been unbearable for him to sit on the bench and watch the action. plus he has his own lucrative professional career to consider. it would have cost him big bucks to sit out a year.

we also lost: any reasonable hope for a post-season birth. we are a good team without will, but he gave us that extra gear, as he showed the early part of the second half, almost single-handedly bringing us back from nine down...at davidson. we are the pre-season team without him, not the one that set the big sky record for consecutive wins.

blunders: two huge ones. last possession of the first half, 15 seconds left. davidson comes out to challenge, and we throw a lazy dumb pass, they intercept and score. possible four point swing. and then kareem's three-point bomb late. i guess he's thinking,"i'm feeling it, a huge shot now might be a momentum changer." but he's been getting to the basket almost at will, against a team whose star center has four fouls. take it to the hoop! these are the types of plays you get away with in the big sky, but not against the davidsons of the world.

announcers: you see why these guys are third-string. after will's injury, they didn't come back to him once, even after the camera showed will in agony on the bench. and with about a minute left in regulation, one of them said, "they've got to go to jamar or to cherry," until the other reminded him that cherry was out. god and the devil are both in the details, but these guys were the devil.

adage: sport is often a matter of inches, but for us this year, it's two feet. how about phoning pistol notorious and seeing if we could borrow two prosthetic feet?

next year: it's here now. all the kids we're looking to next year are going to have to bring it home this year.

Well i dont mean to get too technical on ya or anything but we have already clinched a post season birth. With that being said even without Will Cherry we are still a better team than everybody in the BSC with exception of Weber State. I mean come on, we played davidson that tough and WC played for less than 22 mins and Matty Ward wasnt playing! There is no reason at all we cant win our last 4 BSC games and host the tourney. Then we face weber after our back court has played 5 games adjusting to not having Will..and its in missoula i like our chances. As good as will is, this is not a 1 man team. Just because will is gone that doesnt mean this is the same 4-4 team we saw in OOC play.

I think most would agree if davidson was in the BSC they would be at the top with us and weber. Given the fact that we traveled to NC, played them that tough with out Matty Ward and limited mins from Will i dont see why you think we cant stick with weber! This group is going to rally around each other and play inspired basketball, a "win this for Will" situation....im still excited to see what we can do!

I gotta agree with Becker. I feel like this team is going to gel and kick ass through the next four games and then some. I feel sorry for SUU, NAU, and Sac (Can't really feel sorry for the Cats) as these Grizzlies are going to make examples of them all!

No shit, read through the whole game thread. I remember commenting how in the hell that shot fell? That exact shot, falls less than 5% of the time. That was a brick that happened to land perfectly on the foundation.

He does not look pretty worn out. Normally he is elated to be watching his kids play. Good thing we have a week between games after that trip. I am sure the players are pretty worn out too.
