75 has an agenda when it comes to the football program....he will deny it.....but he does....

75 seems to have some doubts on Stitt and had some views on the qb situation, but what do you think his "agenda" is?

I find that some posters think that posters who disagree with them, or don't agree with them, have an "agenda". Agenda seems more like a buzz word than anything meaningful most of the time it's used on egriz.
Anyone that disagrees with "grizindabox" must have an "agenda."

After all, he mightily huffed, Stitt needs the opportunity to recruit his own players, fully in tune with and capable of being on a "Stitt" team!

Then, one of the best reecruits meeting that criteria left. After a tranche of postings from those always claiming to be in the "know" that this departure was not about football or the team, that the Coach in no way can be responsible for anything, frantically pedaling the meme -- the agenda -- that this was but a "personal problem" for which there could be "hundreds of reasons" that all deserved privacy, none other than the player himself responded to refute them. It was all about the team experience.

In being true to the "agenda," the usual suspects responded in the usual fashion:

1) despite the player's statement, it was vague and therefore not really true, and surely no match for the concise claims that there could be "hundreds" of reasons why he left,
2) apparently he wasn't tough enough -- "thought Butte kids were tough."
3) in high school, he wasn't that good of a player anyway,
4) He was just one of the "ilk,"
5) he never played a game, so who cares.

Nice bunch. But typical. And also interesting from the folks who demanded respect for his "privacy" but offered no respect for him.

No better example of "agendas" and the shattering of them can be demonstrated than by this thread.

The fact is, cumulatively there is an exodus of players from this team, and the buzz from them and from remaining players reflects a level of unhappiness about this Coach and one of his assistants. When this Coach was first interviewed and said he got his people skills from Joe Glenn, I thought that was a great positive. It was one of many reasons for my initial enthusiasm for the man. After a few public remarks, some sidelines behavior and a public temper tantrum, I realized that wasn't true. And, the undercurrent of player conversations suggests it is far from true.

A good coach can coach players to success. That's what they do. Some believe that players can be intimidated and browbeaten to success. Some perhaps even believe it is necessary. Perhaps that is true, I would just not prefer that as a lesson to be learned from collegiate football at the University of Montana. We have enough problems as it is without creating a new one.

I actually decided to skim through an entire 75 post....ya know... since he was calling me out....and for the life of me I have no idea what his rant had to do with me.....or to disprove that he has an agenda....

You have an agenda. If you deny it, that just proves it.

See how that works?
All I see is your normal approach.....just ignore the question and change the subject quickly.....par for the course....
There was no question, merely an accusation, of the kind you typically make.

There's just no way around it.. When someone is posting on a monday morning at 1:58am, the same drivel over and over, they certainly do have an agenda.

Funny. Coming from you two.

5700....are you the pot or the kettle......and what exactly do you think my "agenda" is.....

I am huh? I appreciate hearing views different than my own. If I disagree, I make a point. If I'm wrong I'll admit it. I'm usually right however.

Your two little brains overheat when anyone says anything slightly critical about Stitt.

Far from the truth.....but a person that does nothing but continually post negatively about something would seem to have an agenda.....

Box, while you aren't constantly negative, and occasionally post something of substance, you have been fairly negative for many years. If being negative equals agenda, then you might have to include yourself.

I agree, 5700. Your original comment was right on.

Laughable, coming from one of the most consistently negative posters about Griz basketball.

Yeah, I don't like negative coach behaviors. That's an agenda all right.

Yeah....I guess stating that they shot poorly....or need to shoot better....or the effort on the defensive end....and such comments are truly negative....curious....have you ever posted a positive comment about Stitt......

I have blasted no player...I am simply saying every word out of you mouth is cutting someone down and you seem to like to speak on behalf of the players.
Don't be coy. If every word is cutting someone down, then that would include players right? And your comment seems to concedes that the opposite is true.

Weird, I never saw him on the field last year...so proven????
He was on the program for 1 redshirt year. Its not unusual for a kid to leave after 1 year on a program.
Nacarrato, tool.

Carlson. The corner who left in December.

I was under the impression that we all must have an agenda.....I guess you can post without one but everyone else must have one then......and for the record.....I am impartial towards Stitt after just 1 season....but there are many on here that do nothing but post negatively about him with nothing more than partial facts and opinion....and many of them seem to have an agenda.....

Can't disprove a negative, but you already knew that, you're just too sharp. The point was, there are plenty of negative comments about players -- "player ilk" -- here, offensive, uncalled for, and mostly incorrect.

Those ruffle your little feathers not one bit.

I still don't get the uproar about most of the players leaving.....coaches decided certain players did not fit and were told they would be at the bottom of the depth chart and would very likely not see the field....they left....

So you want to stick up for all the players getting commented about negatively by posting nothing but negative about the coaches......yep....that seems like the best way to do it........

griz on griz fights are fun. But not gonna lie, this one has become kind of boring.

New idea for griz athletics fundraisor. Box vs. 75. Tickets could be $24.99 a pop. It could be at the Mo Club, since all the big egriz fights are supposed to go down at the Mo. "Showdown at the Mo-kay corral". I like that. I'm trademarking that.

I proposed a cage match but that got no traction. Maybe you can do better than I did. If Mo Club is the venue then you need to be sure the back door is locked.

Mods, please move the aforementioned contest to a neutral site, perhaps Reno. I know attendance will possibly be slightly down, but that way we could add other contestants to the card.

That's why Daum's departure has some significance as part of a larger discussion of player morale on this team.

but you are making assumptions as to why he decided to leave....and then throwing all the blame on the program....are you sure that is correct....

And you stick up for the coaches by contending that calling the players "player ilk" is completely justified?

I am commenting on a specific issue that has arisen, dealing with certain staff's "communication" skills and whether or not that presents a problematic situation. Indeed, commenting in the process that I, at least for one, have heard nothing like this from players about the remainder of the staff. So, while you claim that I am saying "nothing but negative about the coaches," that is as usually false just from the comments that have been made.

You have a real penchant for putting words in people's mouths, and then accusing them of saying them, even though you are surely smart enough to realize that your claim is factually false. Or am I giving you too much credit?

Question: If the player didn't "feel a part of the team", is that not also on THE PLAYER? And the OTHER players? Or does the responsibility for that chemistry reside solely with the coach/coaching staff?

I have never done any such thing.....and all your comments about the current coaches have a negative spin....that is why it is difficult to put much credence into that time you may have some validity.....
