Doc3kgt, This site has nothing to with the goings on inside the Griz football team. It's FAN SITE! Just like I'd imagine every single member of the MSU football program is thankful you have nothing to do with the goings on with that program. Especially since you said you would rather the Cats go 5-6 every year than lose to NDSU by double digits in the playoffs.

I agree, it's entertaining kicking your ass every singe season even when things are a dumpster fire. Some of the lowest times in Griz football and we are still on a 3 game streak against your NAIA team.
 
HOLY SHIT....You are all acting like the Cats fans you love to hate..."He is great, one of the best recruits we got"...now "He is soft, and can't handle the pressure" OR "This is the coach being an asshole, and some on the team hate him" GET A FUCKING GRIP. None of us know the mind of a young man, and what he is thinking (ask EVERY PLAYER at MSU about Manny.) If he did leave the team, then he did. Don't EVER call him out for anything....PLEASE.
 
Saccat, Not everybody here is calling out Daum. But I will say it's just as lame to call out Stitt for this as it is to call out Daum. Neither are required to tell us anything if they don't want to about this situation. The fact is, Egrizzers are reporting Daum has quit the team. That's about it. He is still enrolled at UM, he was photographed in the team weight room very recently, he is still listed on the roster at gogriz.com, and his twitter, on which he posted less than an hour ago, still says he plays for the Griz football team and his # is 16. Those are actual facts right now. Nobody else has presented much else in the way of physical facts. So, again, not everyone is calling Daum out for anything. I'm certainly not calling him out when I've seen no factual evidence that he has indeed quit the team for good.

That's exactly right, but note the rush for the exist that "the Player was lazy." How to avoid speculation? Put out a dam press release, if it is true, thank the player, and move on. This coach appears incapable of such small courtesies. He promotes speculation. With a virulently anti-player fan base, that is guaranteed to invite the worst speculation. What's the point of that? Just can't thank people?

I'm not gonna say anything on the topic until there's any kind of official word from the staff. Until then it's pointless speculation towards a young man who is just trying to balance college, athletics, and personal life. All I can say is I wish him and the team the best.

I'm all in favor of avoiding "pointless speculation." We have a coach that disagrees with your premise.

I never said it was Stitts fault...I was commenting on the fact that some are blaming the kid "I thought he was Butte tough" and some are saying "this is about the coach" It doesn't matter the reason...
