Dante Olson vs. Troy Anderson

I'm a Griz fan, but I'm also a Troy Andersen fan. He's a Montana kid, a great football player, a good on-field leader, and over the last couple of years he has been a lot of fun to watch no matter who he plays for.

Like a lot of you, I am baffled by the way the Bobcats are under-utilizing him and his athleticism. This guy rushed for almost 2000 yards his first two years, including 1400+ and 21 TDs last year, and this year they seem intent on keeping the ball out of his hands. :?

To me, the fact that MSU is winning without any significant statistical contributions from Troy Andersen is indicative of how good they really are. If he gets healthy and they get more production from him on either side of the ball, they will be tough to beat.

...he will not go into NFL as a running back..so let him excel where he has a chance LB..

Crazy prediction: Andersen will not play in the NFL in a regular season game other than special teams.

I said what I said.

Since the OP was Dante Olson vs. Troy Anderson I have to say that at linebacker Olson is just better than Anderson. A finalist for the Buchanan Award and a tremendous amount of other award shows his tenacity at linebacker. Not saying Anderson isn’t a good linebacker but at this point he just doesn’t measure up to Olson. Things might be different if Anderson just played linebacker but he doesn’t. The nice thing for Troy is he has another year and maybe, just maybe the cats can develop a backfield without using him..
