"Olson was recruited by former Griz assistant Jake Cookus, who worked on Mick Delaney’s staff and had coached under Olson’s dad at SOU. Delaney was replaced by Bob Stitt before Olson got to campus, so Olson spent three years not playing much for a coach who didn’t recruit him."

He has a 3.9 gpa at UM.

He deserves to be the Defensive Player of the Year, not only in the Big Sky but all of FCS. What a role model and competitor. Super impressive resume, but to actually see him play in person = "Wow"

Still chaps my a$$. So flipping ridiculous. Tomorrow could be special for Sneed and Olson. Sure would be nice to see them end their senior regular seasons with a W over the Cats. They both play with a lot of heart out there.

Oh everybody knows that the BSC gives out a large percentage of those awards as participation ribbons. You don't want to give them to Montana kids. They already get enough recognition and attention. They already have the best fans. the best stadium. the best training facilities (and now perhaps the best coaches). You don't want athletes from the other schools to feel threatened. They might not even have a safe space where they feel free from dissenting viewpoints.
