Dante is an amazing young man and he is about as genuine of a person as you will find on or off the field. Pretty crazy considering he is also such an incrediblly talented and successful football player above and beyond his academic prowess. His folks did a hell of a job of raising him.

I looked at the finalist list and recognize Dante has an uphill battle with Justin Herbert on there. That said, it is quite an honor that he has made it this far. He does have a legit shot to win, however.

Both the Grizzlies and the University of Montana are extremely fortunate to have Dante as a public face for the program and as a student athlete representative.

Good for olson, seems to be a well rounded person.
If I had to pick I would have to go with Herbert from Oregon, a 4.01 microbiology student ,very impressive plus being a Heisman candidate from a p5 school, would have to make him the front runner.

Just out of curiosity, how does one get a GPA of 4.01? I've heard of "grade inflation," but cannot quite wrap my head around that.

My guess is neither Justin nor Dante will be pursuing an additional/advanced degree anytime soon. Could be wrong.

I wonder recipient can pass it on, spread it around....pay it forward.

Extra credit for being the star qb, i.e. an extra .01?

I have no idea.
