Dan Moore

Danny boy is a freaking STUD!!! I love watching this young man bulldoze defences, only wish he could control his emotions sometimes after a play. Although that is probably part of being such a bad ass rolling machine, Mr. Moore is an absolute beast and by far the best full back in FCS.

I would argue that, Trey is a complete football player and I will take him as FB over Moore anyday,

Moore is a better power runner though

I agee 2506, I should have put the best power runner in the FCS. Trey is an absolute stud at blocking a catching the ball. I think he is a little tentative when running.

I think Moore showed immense improvement in agility and versatility this year. The Appy State game was a testament to that - he is more than just a power runner. I don't know how anyone could possibly pick Trey over Moore. But then I guess we'd just be arguing over who is wearing their respective colored glasses :geek:

That high ankle sprain is a real bitch. The bad part of it is, If you sprain it a couple times, you stretch
the ligament and it doesn't really tighten up much with time. Especially when you're a big strong guy
that torques on it hard like Dan does. I had it, ended up having a ligament transplant and was 45 days
in a walking cast but that was in the late 70's. I'm sure the ortho dudes do something much cooler
now. If he's still in a boot I doubt he'd be 100% for Cat Griz but it'd suck for him if he couldn't play at
all.

I had a boot in high school for basketball (2 weeks on) and when I got it off my achilles was TIGHT (Shrunken up some). Do they take those boots off during the week some now and do stretching on those (physical therapy) or does the boot stay on the whole time. I would think they must be doing some stretching and taking the boot off otherwise ligaments/achilles would be really tight (would not be 100%).

Sorry, but no. And no on the power runner thing, either. No disrespect to Moore (I actually love the way he plays all out and the punishment he delivers...except when playing the Cats), but Eric Breitenstein from Wofford has both of these...hands down.

188 rushes, 1402 yards, 7.4 per carry, 14 TD. This includes a game against Lincoln...whoever they are...where he played sparingly and only carried the ball 5 times because Wofford won 82-0 (that's not a typo).

That being said, I'd take Moore on my team any day of the week. Regardless of him putting the ball on the ground a little and being injury-prone (using your body as a guided missile will do that to a guy), his heart and motor are pretty damn special.

I don't know how they treat all of them, but when my son had his he was going to physical therapy twice a week to work on it plus he was supposed to be doing stuff at home, which he did. Seemed to work ok but a year later and he will tell you he is still not back to 100%, but he has played on it.

I wonder if he has tried using DMSO... It works... I blew out my knees, but in particular, one knee real bad on a camping trip, I had to crawl on one leg for a mile or so... After using DMSO, as described below, I was running fine after 2 days... Note on DMSO... It freezes at 65 degrees or something like that... Leave it out of the fridge

Wow hadn't heard anything about DMSO since I was in HS. It was the rage in the 80's, not sure if it worked or not. I do know it left a nasty taste in your mouth after you applied it, like tuna or something. Where do you even get it anymore?

Horse and Tack stores, I think that's what they call them... I know they use DMSO on Race Horses, but my personal introduction to it was after I first had the knee injuries playing on Turf in HS... My knees were horrible, and I didn't know if I would pass the Military Physical tests at MEPS in Seattle to join the Army... Long story short, a former boss of mine was a Navy Seal, and he recommended it, said it would help as they used it on his team... A washcloth in very hot water to open up the skin, drenched in DMSO... All I can say is I made it through Basic and as a Firefighter and in War... Or the Cliff Notes version, it worked, to this day... So to speak, I'm sold on it, I always keep a bottle on the shelf if I have flare ups... As far as the taste, yeah, but it's worth it... You can cut a clove of garlic in half and rub it on the bottom of your foot and you'll taste it, but all you will be tasting is the medicinal benefits... DMSO is best in Amber Glass bottles, but all I can find is the plastic version, at least in local places

While I have no doubts that it works, I'd just be a little more concerned on whether the NCAA deems it as a viable substance.

The NCAA doesn't deem anything as a viable substance if it it's $8 or so and works... They are owned by the FDA and drug companies... That's all there is to it... Knee injury??? Here is some Cortisone in a needle... Good Luck with that...

Is that DMSO: Dimethyl Sulfoxide? Such as in: http://www.amazon.com/DMSO-Pure---/dp/B000S858FG/ref=sr_1_?ie=UTF8&qid=1352362957&sr=8-1&keywords=dmso+medical+grade" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And if so, would it also be effective on strained ligaments in elbows. I strained one in my left elbow hauling up a fireproof file cabinet up a couple flights of stairs on a dolly a couple years ago and it's still somewhat of a bothersome. Just wondering.
