Non-contact knee injury. Didn't know the severity of it as of Wednesday. Guess we'll see. He had been in concussion protocol for a couple of weeks. Gabe has had a couple of pretty bad concussions while at Senior.

Non-contact knee injury. Didn't know the severity of it as of Wednesday. Guess we'll see. He had been in concussion protocol for a couple of weeks. Gabe has had a couple of pretty bad concussions while at Senior.

I dont think Gabe would want a medical red shirt. He has aspirations other than football. Makes me wonder if he will finish his collegiate football career as the concussions and injuries stack up. I think he had a fairly significant leg problem in high school as well. I selfishly hope he finishes and really helps the team win but I hope he makes the best decision for his future whatever the decision is. Certainly nice to start advanced degree without school debt. I dont know Gabe or his family and have no inside info. Just speculating.

George must have it right ....as I was aware of the concussions at senior and the one recently...however I did not know about the knee....that had to have happened within the last couple days or so. He is a very motivated kid, I hope it all works our for him.

..I think if hes truly injured to seek a medical redshirt..even if he plans not to use it..smart..
it would keep his options open..will see?

He wouldn’t qualify for a medical redshirt. You have to participate in 30% of games or less. He’s already surpassed that number.

George must have it right ....as I was aware of the concussions at senior and the one recently...however I did not know about the knee....that had to have happened within the last couple days or so. He is a very motivated kid, I hope it all works our for him.

Yup, I may have gotten slightly old news too. Post-concussions but pre knee.
