And we all know it all starts up front with a sturdy line. What I am asking for this Christmas tho is a QB who can, and will, run once in a while. How many 3rd and manageable plays were lost because Brady either didn't run or slid in short. I'm not knocking him, with his size acceleration and cutting just isn't going to be there and after his leg injury in 2015, he was protecting himself. But Just think how many drives could have been extended with a mobile QB this year.
Had one and hardly ever used him.

  I think we need to focus on the offensive line, If I had my choice of any position to be dominant, I would start there. Lots of running backs of all shapes and sizes have looked very good behind a dominant offensive line, along with quarterbacks.
Calhoun was our best RB last year and is the best returning. But he has a concussion history and we need some depth. Point to someone who said he wasn't good enough. Everybody who has had 1 concussion has a concussion history. It doesn't ever go away. It only takes one. Calhoun has had two. He's not unlike 100's of other football players.
The Griz feel they have good depth at RB with Favors and McCombs and Green coming off RS. They aren't recruiting a JC RB, so any true freshman they sign is going to RS, and therefore wouldn't provide depth this coming season anyway. Now, if a top-notch dropdown wants to come to Missoula, I'm sure Stitt and Co. will be happy to take him. But that being said, any RB out of high school in this year's class will have no baring on the Griz' running game next season unless not one, but two guys go down.

2" & 15 lbs heavier than counts. Stitt would have likely moved him to DT.

I wouldn't be too sure of their happiness with RB depth for 2017....not all is as wonderful with returners for various reasons as you think
kemajic said:5'10", 228 lb Saunders ran over CSU all night. When they needed a yard, he would get 6. He's a soph, so we will likely see him in 2018. Idaho will be a load for the BSC in spite of continual bashing by this forum. They sent a strong FU message to the MWC last night.
I would guess, however, that Petrino will not be so interested in a BSC HC's salary and could be gone by 2018.

No doubt they will be competitive but they may lack some depth starting out with the scholarship juggling act. I don't think they'll just come out and blow the doors off anyone in BSC like their fans seem to think. Group of 5 teams do not have a huge gap in talent from upper tier FCS difference is just depth and resources.
Yep. It's clear what he, Justin, and Chad want out of a RB. Size and speed.daGrizJ said:kemajic said:You have to wonder where Stitt would have Lex playing....fanofzoo said:Can't happen, there is a height and weight restriction.![]()
Having checked back on some of the CSM rosters over the last 15 years, coach Stitt has had several RBs from 210 to 230 #s.
