He wants to bring in more transfers for the D-line and O-Line.

When in the press conference did he say O-Line? I listened to it twice and he said "D-Line, receiver, QB and secondary". I am sure I heard him correctly and also was surprised he didn't say O-Line. Does he think the redshirt freshmen are good enough? Do you know or are you speculating?

Pflug kinda surprised me since he had such an awesome HS highlight video. It looked like he could have the potential to run this offense but Stitt must have seen something he didnt like. Best of luck to the kid and everyone else that got cut.

Hired the wrong guy. Hope he proves me wrong.

Just my opinion, this isn't the pros. That's why you give a guy a few years to be where he wants to be. Because he has at least a couple years without having "his guys". This sucks for those young men who bled for all of you griz fans.
You think this is not going to happen at MSU by this time next year?

Nope. It is going to happen after spring ball. It is what most coaches do. Even Mick, Pflugrad, Hauck, Glenn, and even Papa Bear. They usually use the bodies as blocking dummies and body bags because the roster is low because of graduating seniors being gone and the new class not being in yet. Most coaches keep the kids around just for their own benefit and then let them go after spring. At least Stitt is giving them a chance to transfer at the semester. Actually a decent thing to do.

If for some reason one of Stitts QB recruits is in a game next year and he is making some mistakes Delaney if he is calling the game is going to have a hard time biting his lip.

He will I think. If there is one thing that should be evident if you watched the NDSU playoff game and our bad losses over the past 4 years is that we have had a slip in our talent level. As head coach, you can see it and hope the masses give you 5 years to improve, or you can see that even at lowly ol Montana, there is not a whole lot of patience and you have to move fast. 5 year plans are for coaches that get fired after 3 years. Harbaugh wanted to win immediatly. Saban is a perform or leave kind of guy. You want someone who will take us back to where you want us, or do you want to win popularity contests. Only difference between Stitt and anyone else in our past coaching tree is the explosion of social media that brings everything in our face right away.

How do you know talent didn't win in spite of coaching? Several times our receivers just were more athletic than the opposing defender. Watch second half of first NDSU game. Jump balls where our receivers controlled. ND game was similar.

This just in: after spring ball is "by this time next year."

There is a little more to the makeup of a successful football team than receivers

Thanks Captain Obvious. Stitt admitted today at presser team should have been 10-2. Hmmm. Guess two losses that have been hashed out here at length. I'm optimistic but reserving judgment.

After watching the presser Stitt seemed to have more of an issue with "per sources" or "sources say" in combination with leaking the players name.

Welcome to D1 football, coach. Time to start acting like a professional D1 coach.

Stitt has got to stop expecting the media to do as he says. A media member filming highlights from practice IS NOT going to lose you any games. So stupid... Fighting the media is a losing battle.

He could learn a thing or two from coach Klieman over in Fargo.

What I hope he learns from Kilieman, is that it take more than six yards rushing.

You guys say this like it's easy. What exactly were we supposed to do? You think just going double tight end with full backs would've made a difference? SDSU, who specializes in that, got -4 rushing yards against them this season. We don't have the horses to run at them effectively right now, especially in Fargo.

I'm sure the rushing game will be a priority and will improve next season, but some of these comments are just silly. Hardly any team would've been able to run on them last Saturday. That has more to do with NDSU's defense than our offense.

And, after being asked what was the hardest part for him about the end of a season, he went on for several heartfelt minutes about the seniors that were leaving, how coaches spend more time with the players than their own children, forming friendships, watching them grow, and how hard it is to see them leave. The man seems to genuinely care.

As said by every coach at the end of the season. Move along. Nothing to see there.

So is there going to be a huge drop off in Montana kids? I would hate to see the makeup of the team become less and less Montanan because of a win at all costs mentality. The only thing that I think should have been handled differently was giving the reason Parker was let go. Saying he was released because of bad chemistry, was kind of a low blow in my opinion. Especially if the kid wants to try and get in somewhere else.

The one thing that I wonder about is how many drop downs he's got hooked already. Losing a lot of seniors and letting others go makes me think the season could be another like this year. SHSU had a bunch of BCS drop downs but they just can't seem to find that consistency you would expect from guys in the system already.

Stitt better have a plan. I'm not a fan of cutting players that have been with the system for awhile and have worked hard.

He told the team that the roster would have a new look come spring in yesterdays team meeting. What really should be talked about is the overwhelming amount of dislike the players have for this guy. The complete opposite of a players coach he treats his guys like crap.

I'm calling BS on this one.
Ya think maybe he's a player or now ex-player? Some of you guys can be real assholes.

I've never denied being an asshole, but forgive me for taking stuff on the internet, eGriz in particular, with a grain of salt.
