As far as cuts go, I'm not surprised. I was actually thinking about this the last few days.
Firstly, it sucks for these young men who had to be cut. I can't imagine what that's like, but I hope all of them either find fulfilling playing time elsewhere, or continue with their education and create the best life for themselves that they can.
It was clear that some players just weren't meshing with the new regime. Pflug was a shock, for sure, but like others have said, if Gresch Jensen is the guy that Stitt wants, it puts Pflug in a weird position to stay and be a backup.
I don't know what impact this will have on the team, I just know that we have to trust that it'll work out and that it's for the best. If these guys really do have an effort problem, then I don't know how we can second guess Stitt here. He was hired to bring winning back to Montana after a period where it seemed to me, at least, that coaches let the culture and program get soft.
