Beat SDSU on their home court. Don’t get that. Just win out and see where the chips fall!

In 13 years covering the Big Sky, never seen a regular-season projection or "bracketology" that has the Big Sky champion anything but a 15 or 16. MAYBE once a 14 when Weber had Lillard but they never even made the Big Dance.

So many upsets will happen over the next few weeks. I've said on the radio show all year that I think Montana's magic number is 28. If they get 28 wins, I believe they will get a 13 seed. And if everything goes perfectly, they will get a 12. But 13 is the goal because 13-4 is WAY more manageable than last year's 3-14 or a 2-15.

For Montana to win 28 games, they cannot lose again before the NCAA Tournament. But I think that is possible.

I say it every year: every projection has the bsc too low if the regular season champion also wins the conference tournament.

If the Griz win out...Lowest seed they'd get is probably a 14, I could see the Griz snagging a 13 or 12, with a very slim chance at an 11.

If the Griz got through all of conference undefeated is probably the only way they'd get an 11. I think the best seed they get is a 13 - if they take care of business the rest of the way and win the tournament.

That's because some regular season champs that are projected ahead of them lose in their conference tourney and miss out on their bid so the BSC regular seaons/tournament champ moves up a few slots.

Do not see an 11 seed in the Griz's future. Not out of the question, given how weird the NCAA is sometimes, but highly unlikely.

The Griz are currently 106 in the NET (92 in the RPI). Last year, only one team with an RPI rank of #70 or worse got a seed better than a 14. That was Marshall, which got a 13-seed with an RPI rank of #87. Montana, sitting at #76, got a 14.

It will be curious to see how the committee does rank the Griz if they win out and how they will view that accomplishment without Jamar Akoh having been in the lineup. Duke has lost two in a row since their big man went down. The Griz are undefeated. I know the quality of opponents is considerably higher, but it is interesting food for thought.

Finally clicked into this thread....if the Griz come to Des Moines, count on me to find the food and drinking locations. Can also help with hotels. Would host people at the house, but it is for sale and need to keep it spotless (plus I know many of you are feral).

I wouldn't expect the Griz to get any kind of bump for playing without Akoh unless he is actually able to play in the tourney. If that happens then they may take that into consideration when looking at our resume and some of the losses we took without him.
