Low vim response6 of the last 8! #34-11
Sorry to hear about the practice bubble circus tent. Par for the course in Missoula. I’m hearing Bobby is planning a 2 QB system again this year, should be awesome.

How the far the program has to go?! Bobby is in year 7! How long is this comeback supposed to take?Yes, it shows how far the program has to go. It’s a good point. It also demonstrates what happens when a program has to rebuild from a mess. Griz dominated for so long, had a terrible moronic President who tanked the program and it has taken years to get back to where there is a chance to be in the top 5 every year. Recruiting was a given for the Griz in the past. They got about everyone they wanted in the state of Montana and had top notch talent from out of state. The tide turned with the Engstrom debacle. Yes, Engstrom. Not JJ, not Pflu, not the AD. Nope, Engstrom and Pat Williams for that matter. Hurt recruiting due to a coaching carousel and a really bad head coach hire.
The comeback already occurred. I guess you aren’t aware that the Griz were no. 2 in the nation in 2024. You are a perpetual negative “fan”. And unrealistic. How the far the program has to go?! Bobby is in year 7! How long is this comeback supposed to take?
The reality is that anyone who is being honest with themselves can admit that the Cats have been more successful than us recently. Hopefully that changes, but that doesn’t just erase the past 4-5 seasons.
Probably because we had to reload after the '23 season national runner-up, # 2 in FCS --'you know, the one where The Shi __y Kitties once again pee'd and pooped all over themselves in their litter box while again losing to NDSU in the playoffs, while we, on the other hand, beat those same mighty Bison just a a week later in WA-GRIZ ? ( We had to reload after the '23 season, and now the SK's have to reload more than we did after the '24 season, as a lot of their better players either transferred out through the portal or graduated, like TM !!! )I don't want to be negative or unrealistic but it's difficult for me to define 2024 as a comeback season when the Griz loses to msu in convincing fashion.
Comeback is measured over time, not by one game. Who defined 2024 as a comeback season? Were the Griz having to come back last season after having been in Frisco? Come back from what?I don't want to be negative or unrealistic but it's difficult for me to define 2024 as a comeback season when the Griz loses to msu in convincing fashion.
Let's see, Vigen inherits a team from Choda that goes 2-0 against us and made the playoffs, Bobby inherits a team from Stitt that went 0-2 against MSU and doesn't make the playoffs, complete with a depleted O line program, AC ( After Covid ) we're 2-2 against The Shi__y Kitties, we've lost one NC to defending national champion SDSU, the SK's have lost twice to NDSU, once the Bison were defending national champs in '22 but last year when The Shi__y KittiesHow the far the program has to go?! I obviously misunderstood your post. I thought you were calling out the 2024 season as a significant part of the comeback.Comeback is measured over time, not by one game. Yes, 2024 and Frisco showed that the Griz had come back from the days of Stitt. Yes, the Cats won the big game last season and had a nice season, better than the Griz. That doesn't mean that Bobby hasn't brought the team back to the top.I obviously misunderstood your post. I thought you were calling out the 2024 season as a significant part of the comeback.
I think it's just the nature of the rivalry. MSU and UM are two of the top 4-5 FCS programs in the nation. There will be some up and down years, but for the most part, both programs will almost always have a shot at making a title run.I have a question regarding the Cats. Please be honest if possible.
Why is it, every year before the season starts, many of us write off msWho?
As much as it pains many of us, they've been damn good the last decade. Yet, every year, many GRIZ fans think they'll plummet and not be a conference title contender. Why is that?
If I take out my GRIZ Fandom, from an analytical point of view, it's difficult to HONESTLY not consider them among Big Sky elite and a national title contender. After all, they've been having great results for awhile now.
Do we not give them credit, just because they're our hated in state rival? Or do we honestly believe they're going to suddenly just fall off?
I'm not talking just this year, but the last several years. I get it, when a team has a few years of success. There's still a lot to proof. To me, they've more than proven themselves as a true Top 5 FCS program.
As for this season, I honestly feel they'll be a few notches below what they were last season. However, I still expect them to be a top 10 FCS team and make a strong playoff run.
The last decade, unfortunately they've had many of us eating crow. I know, I'm tired of crow. Hate them as much as we want, but does that hatred somewhat blind us?
Who honestly thinks theyll be worse than a Big Sky title contender this year? Based on long term on field results, I'll be surprised if they're not a conference title contender this year. Yes, I'd love to be wrong on this.
Thoughts, opinions, analysis?
...but, but, but in 2023 we..........I wouldn’t call UM a top tier FCS program present day. Since Booby’s return they have finished 6th, 4th, 4th, 6th, 1st, and 5th in the Big Sky Conference!!! Comparing this to Booby1.0 where they won the conference every year except one, I believe. If the fcs and the Big Sky are so “watered down” why can’t Booby get his team to dominate like the past. Honestly I think it’s likely that Bob Stitt would have done much better the past 6 years.
and the last 5 meetings of bozeman against NDSU in the playoffs...but, but, but in 2023 we..........
