CSU @ NDSU Game Thread

Does Bisonalumni2011 think it's only Griz fans that wouldn't mind seeing someone else take the spotlight for awhile? That doesn't necessarily mean people are haters or sick with envy. Look how many people got tired of the Yankees back in the day. It would have been like rooting for Exxon. Seems to me most Griz fans have been highly complementary to the Bison on their great run. And yes, even if they had lost against CS, they might still have been the favorite for the NC. The only thing I would say from watching the game is that had it been an away game, NDSU would almost certainly have lost, and may well have still gone on to the NC. I don't see NDSU losing to anyone at home this year, but I'd sure like to see how they'd fare in WA/Griz. Heavy favorites for sure, but then they were last time, too.

I still have my money on NDSU. They played pretty bad against a playoff ready team and still won. Really enjoyable game! Makes me want to go back to Fargo for a visit.

Punter is my biggest concern as an NDSU fan. That is not an issue that can be fixed this year and is going to cost them football games.

Shouldn't diabetes be your biggest concern as an NDSU fan? Could cost you more than football games.

You are correct, the Bison are like the Yankees. In fact, right before the game, the guys on Sportscenter listed the Yankees, Canadiens, Celtics, UCLA Bruins, and the Bison as the greatest sports Dynasties of all time. Great minds think alike.

And we all knew you'd be here. Like f***[*] clockwork.

At least we are fans of the FCS and watch the games. Unlike Bizon fans who complain that their schedule is FCS only and no FBS teams on the schedule.

I watched NDSU-CSU game and did not watch Hawaii-Cal...support your division

Seriously. 2011UNDAlum thinks it's funny that Griz fans watched an FCS game on ESPN and commented on it. I think the T-Buff coaches and players have adjusted to FCS rather well, but the fans aren't quite there yet. Uneducated.

How many pages of comments when EWU had the kickoff game a few years ago?

12. Any more brain busters?

Anybody see this:

I thought it was quite good.

The sad but funny thing was an ESPN commercial for this game. They show the Bizon coming out of the tunnel and at the lead Coach, coach Bohl. Uh ESPN he is at WYO now.... You would think they would make sure they had used footage post Bohl...

I'd be more concerned about Stick behind that makeshift offensive line....this is not your father's bison team.

No, not so much anymore... maybe at first.

Now, the national media does such a good job of fulfilling that role, I don't use egriz for that. I mostly come on here to stir the pot... I believe some refer to it as trolling. Also, I like to read some negative things about the Bison every once in awhile and this site is great for that. It is very similar to why I switch to CNN or MSNBC every now and then, just to see what the other side is saying. I mostly laugh at them as well.

I hope you got the affirmation you were seeking on eGriz.com!

Looks like I screwed up the quoting function.

The game wasn't the best, but if you were on a championship team year after year would your emotional level for a regular season game match that of your opponent who has been waiting and preparing for their Naional Championship.Just another game for NDSU. Lots of time high emotion can over come better talent. NDSUs emotion was not as intense as the other teams in both openers. NDSU is a different team come playoff time if you haven't figured it out by now. Their last two left tackles are in the NFL now and it showed that in their offense. Last year it was their freshman DBs and safety's who developed as the year went on. Three new offensive lineman may be their downfall, but it won't be for long. If you are going to beat them, it will be early in a season.theircoaching staff does a good job with player development. Just look how many walk ons see significant playing time for them. It's there coaches that set them apart.

Bingo! Great post.

My questions is, how many people actually think CSU is a top 10 team? Not trying to belittle anything but that conference is no power house. They have a couple good teams and that is about it. Always makes for a good record for Liberty and whoever at the end of the season. Just my opinion.

Pretty sure it is. Last time I talked to Dad he is still a Bison fan.

Bingo! Great post.

Is this a fake post? It absolutely has to be. College football players, at least the good ones, which NDSU has, and has had a lot of, care about every f----ing snap, every f---ing quarter, every f----ing game, and every season they get to play. I don't know what game Toyota was watching, but NDSU was 100 percent up for this game, and I challenge him to go ask DeLuca or Tangquay if their heads weren't quite in it last night. I dare him to ask em that. Dude, Wentz and Stick have been talking on the phone about this game for three days, Wentz trying to help Stick be as ready as possible.

For an NDSU fan to say his team wasn't EMOTIONALLY into that game is a joke, and a diservice to their players, and especially to Kleiman, who is a great coach, and would never let his team not be ready emotionally.

No one is suggesting NDSU doesn't better as the season goes on, and is a machine by playoff time. We saw that first-hand last year. But, if you think your players weren't 100 percent excited to play last night, you are a complete moron, and you have no clue about your own damn team, or its head coach.

CSU beats the Griz 70% on neutral field this year.
No disrespect. They are better than people think.

havgrizfan, do you really believe that the Griz will come out with same type of emotion for St. Francis as they will for EWU, or an FBS opponent. And don't call me an NDS fan just because I don't post with emotion, bias, and what I am hoping for instead of reality. Emotion in a game is why inferior teams give championship teams a game and sometimes win that game. It was on display at the Olympics in basketball, it will be on display when the college football season starts, down to the high school level. This is why there are not many repeat championships as new champions at any level. The drive, doing extra sets, reps in the weight room, is easier to do when chasing the championship than it is when you have one. Teams become victims of their own success. People buy into what they read in papers, Internet, ect..., and sometimes lose to teams they shouldn't lose to. It is my opinion and the opinion of many others. If that makes me a moron so be it.
