Crowd noise

The guy next to me appeared frightened when me and my friends starting giving high fives to everyone around us after the Griz scored or had a good play. By the end of the game I think he sucked the life out of us. I fully intend to be a lot louder next week, hope he can handle it.

I have never seen the NEZ that damn lame. It was pathetic.

This.

There were times, even on 3rd down, that my wife and I were the only ones standing and screaming in sec 130 around us. Griz vision said "Get on your feet", cheerleaders were in the endzone holding "noise" signs and some of the defensive players were calling for noise. Didn't matter. I felt like taking some pulses because most people looked dead! Horrible.

Funny Hammer,

the only other guy who would consistently stand up in our section was the guy NEXT to Grizo!! :o

That's true!

Not to get off topic here, but the only two guys I recognized in Chattanooga, at the NC game, were the two folks that sit on either side of me at Griz home games!!

I signed both of of their boarding passes, and let them take pictures with the HOF'er! Needless to say, they were both very happy...but, they kept asking where ALPHA was?!!?

Whew boy Seattle was always a tough place to play. We never churned up too much noise down at the U, the setbacks of being a southern commuter school.

You should go join the discussion on the other thread about the "U", it might clear some things up for some folks...er make them worse. Either way..enjoy.

Not only was the stadium quiet, it was also warm!

I know what you guys mean it was really quite personally I lost my voce early in the 2nd quarter. Didn’t do much cheering in the 3rd mostly because I was the only one in the stands where I was until almost the end of the 4th pretty lonely being the only one in the stands :(

Spent the last 25 years thinking Washington Grizzly was the loudest stadium in the country. I would have to say its now 2nd on my list. Went to the Cowboys Seahwawks game yesterday (first game at century link). The crowd noise there was unreal. If you ever get a chance I recommend going to a game in Seattle. I was at the App state game and the crowd noise level was that intense the entire game. It was really truley impressive. Also they had parachuters (which had some sort of jet packs on??) thought I was going to see my second parachuter accident! The dude looked like he was smashing into the top of the stadium!

Wait until they see the playoffs again. THAT is loud!

By what I read (I was not at the Liberty game), if the crowd does not get amped up for NAU, it could be a long day for the Griz. They need the crazies to be in play-off shape for this important conference opener.

Not expecting a good game from the crowd for homecoming. The last 4 years have been extremely quiet for one of the largest attended games of the year. Maybe they should put up a false start counter on Griz Vision. Maybe that will get people excited to make some noise and offset the offense. Honestly, the U (See what I did there? ;) ) shouldn't have to tell the crowd to get loud. If you see people sitting on their butts, wave your arms up, tell people to get up, and if you get told to sit down, tell them to go home. I'm lucky if I still have a voice at the end of the 1Qtr!

Tried that, didn't work. They look at you like you are from mars.

The NEZ has lost it's edge. 10 yrs ago nobody sat down, today nobody stands.

I say remove the seats there just like the student section. I'm serious.

nope that wasnt me...i never have a problem getting up for any game, no matter what.......and if i didnt spend 4 years in the Marines, i wouldnt have missed any games.

Would just like to put out there....

All you lazy ppl in the east side expansion....get off your asses and make some noise this weekend. It's pathetic up there. There's usually just a few of us making noise along the railing and nothing else!
