Cramsey was a competitive coach but his comments probably did him no favors. Offensive stuff aside, we needed a full overhaul on the defensive side of the ball. The only defensive coach we kept was Kane and we moved him back to linebackers coach. It will take time but we needed a change of coaching style on that side of the ball.

You also kept Bo Beck.

But you moved him from DL to TE coach.

Noted that in my post above this one.

Yeah, but you didn't note that in the post I read before getting to the post you are now referring to. Thanks though.

Beck began his collegiate coaching career as Rob Ash’s defensive line coach at Drake from 2002-04, moving to Iowa State as a graduate assistant from 2004-06. And has been at MSU from 2007-present.

I've seen a lot of tv interviews with him, glad he's been retained...Kane as well.

Camsey to Oregon, Prukop to visit.

Also, don't believe everything you read in twitland.

So who tweeted Cramsey to Oregon?

I'm guessing it was not him, but possibly U of O, a disgruntled QB, or my next door neighbors' son?

Dakota Prukop will graduate at the end of current semester. He can transfer anywhere he excepted to grad school. Visiting Oregon soon.

Dakota can go where he wants basically. If he is accepted of course. A free agent.

If the Ducks need one year FCS transfers two years in a row, something is very wrong.

I was thinking the same thing, griz4life.

But then again I remembered last year they had a void to fill because Oregon was having trouble getting the best of the best at QB because recruiting suffered when players new Mariota was the guy for years and they wouldn't play, so they signed elsewhere.

This would be pretty suprising to need a transfer again this year however I think.

If you watched Lil' Shooter's backup it is apparent why they would be looking for immediate help.

One benefit the ducks will have with Dakota over VA is that he would be there for spring ball and they won't have to wait until a few weeks before their first game to see if he can pass a math test to become eligible.

That is literally the only benefit.

Dakota may be a fine Big Sky QB, but he is no Vernon Adams, and I honestly cannot see him being nearly as successful at Oregon as VA was this year.

Best of luck to him if he wants to try, though. :thumb:

I wholeheartedly second this opinion. DP is a fine FCS player but he is not the Ducks temporary answer to multiple failed recruiting classes at QB. The offense VA ran at EWU had a whole lot more in common with Oregon than anything MSU has ever run. I don't see how DP's tenure at MSU gives any indication as to how he will play at Oregon. I'm thinking it will not go well if this is how he ends up going. However, I will wish him good luck. He will need a lot of it.

Don't you mean "excepted?"
Also, doesn't it have to be somewhere that offers a grad program that MSU doesn't? Has Skyline Sports lost control of that locker room?

I'm sorry but I can't resist. You do know that Colter is a UM grad, right? Also, the Skyline Sports comment is gold Jerry! Gold!

They missed severely in recruiting , like cats have missed on defensive recruiting !

VA was very good, but wasn't the second coming. The Russian lad can make it if VA did!
Prucop is an exceptional runner, but can't carry VA's jock as a passer.
