Counts Status?

The first time I watched it, I thought wow that was pretty strange. When I watched it a second time, I realize he was just doing a funny comedic performance. You could hear the other players gathered around laughing at his answers and counts kept looking at them as he prepared to try to make them laugh. Either he thinks he's funny or the other players think he's quite funny and they used that opportunity to put on a little show.

I got the same jist watching it...heard other players off camera, etc.....but would have liked to hear the kid give one answer that showed maturity, a bit of respect for himself and the team, and a clue about the real world.

I'm thinking we will not see Joey in a Griz uniform much longer.
 
Mike, what makes you say that? Because of his TV bit? He isn't going to be charged with a felony, therefore in all likelihood, he won't be permantly removed from the team. Now, if you had said "I have a feeling we won't see Joey in a Griz uniform the rest of the season". You'd be spot on correct.

It's just an ego and shit attitude. Finally caught up with him.
 
brew, just curious, if you feel that way and know so much about him, Did you boo Counts or at least protest in silence and not cheer when he scored the TD against NDSU?

I was as thrilled as every griz fan when he busted through and scored that TD. However, it could have been anyone and I would have been just as pumped. But listen to any of his comments on the weekly huddle or anything like that and you can tell the guy is pretty wrapped up in his own image. Not really the Mariani, Reynolds, or Selle kind of attitude that we want to have around.

Like everybody, just guessing on how the arrest thing works out, but my thought was " not well." You may have it right, and he's back next year, but I guess to get back on topic, I don't think his injury status is going to matter.

I grimaced when I saw that interview with Counts.

And when I saw that he was among the ones arrested, the first thing I thought was: I wonder if he was the one who concocted this stunt?
 
I can't find a link but would have to think the coaches shows are out there somewhere. Such random answers I can't recall most. One I do recall was what 3 things he'd want if stranded on deserted island...his 65 lb. barbells, some water and some "pens"...pretty sure he wasn't talking about writing pens....and have seen some of these new fangled "pens" they are selling over in Washington state.
