Counts not suspended?

I'm getting in the naked three-point stance and charging some people right now. I'll let you know how it goes.

Welp, I charged those motherfuckers. Charged them low, slow, and good. Got into camp and totally mailed it in. TG thinks I have some talent. I'm gonna dog it for the rest of camp. See you fuckers over my head this fall.

Because he is hurt doesn't mean he can't be a positive leader. If getting into trouble is a method of leadership than....? 29 carries last year, Canada had more than that in one game, John Nguyen has more than that in a game. Prone to injury, yes I know. I like this young man a bunch and have always pulled for him to stay healthy because when he gets the ball he makes things happen. Some times you have to cut your losses and move on...

i thought you were talking about leadership on the field. If you are only talking leadership off the field, then I agree that he hasn't been a positive leader off the field. However, I don't know why you would have ever expected Counts to be a better leader, or whatever you said, off the field. While I would like all players to avoid getting into trouble, I don't expect many of them to be considered leaders off the field, or leaders generally. Some are; most aren't.

Agree most aren't. However, In my line of work, US Military, leadership is displayed everyday, both on and off duty. Yes we have many who could/would never be good leaders, just like a football team. I disagree with you on the fact that a good team leader is only a leader on the field. I believe it carries over to classes, and everything teammates do.

I didn't say anything about what a good leader is, in fact, don't think I used the term. However, a player can be a leader on the field and not a leader off the field. Canada might have been an example of that. Agree that a good leader is a good leader on and off field. Agree that the military is a different situation than a college football team. My army ranger son got married last weekend. Lots of army, navy, air force and special ops men and women, mostly now former military, in attendance. Many of them went shooting with wedding guests one day. Lots of M-4's, but also some really expensive and fancy rifles.

What is it with some Americans and shooting guns? In Canada if we have a get together we drink a shit load and then pair off in the tall grass. Is firing a couple of rounds into a hillside foreplay for you Yanks? #compensating

Again, there is a major difference in terms here that people who can actually look at their rival objectively understand. Daly is currently suspended "indefinitely". That is a completely different suspension. Counts, per the code of conduct, obviously is not. He is still allowed to participate in fall camp. Jordan Johnson was suspended "indefintiely". He was not allowed to participate in ANY phase of Griz football while going through his legal process. Like I said, people who can actually view these things without judgement and bias totally understand these terms. And all it takes to understand them is the slightest bit of intelligence, which, 33, I know you have. These terms are used ALL THE TIME. Dismissal means you are gone forever, suspended indefinitely means you have at least a shot of being brought back. suspension means you are still in a relatively decent standing, but have punishments to follow including missing games.

Oh and by the way 33, J.R. Nelson is dealing with an NCAA issue, that is a completely different matter all together.[/quote

I have not disagreed with you. Once you mentioned the UM code of conduct it clarified things. I had forgot about that. I am perfectly clear on all the terms. Another poster said that people that are suspended participate in practice. I stated that it is not the case at MSU that I know of. Also, I did not comment on Nelson. I agree that is a different matter as you state.

Is MSU's Code of Conduct different from UM's? Seems strange that the Regents would allow one to be different from the other.

I believe they are independent of each other. UM has their own that they developed and same for MSU.

If you haven't already, you should Youtube - comedian Jim Jeffries and gun control. Those exact words feature prominently, it's hilarious.

Why do Canadians and Australians care so much about the USA and guns?

Don't lump everyone in one group.

I'm an American, but don't own or care for guns.

I do like the outdoors, women and micros...

Why do Canadians and Australians care so much about the USA and guns?

Because we like you guys and don't like when you shoot each other, caring about others isn't a bad thing.

John Hinkley's first target was president Jimmy Carter. He didn't raise his weapon and shoot because he "thought Jimmy Carter was waving directly at him". Do we give the weapon credit for the non-attempt?
