Could NAU run the table now?

I interpreted it to mean that head-to-head applied for a two-way tie only.

For example, in a three-way tie - you could have two of the teams that played each other. So one would be 1-0, one 0-0, and the other 0-1. I don't think that is a fair way to break the tie for the 0-0 team.

Sounds like the Big Sky needs to further clarify their tiebreaker procedure...

If you read the article, it sounds like they are talking about a two-way tie. (Keep mentioning a tie between Team A and Team B) I'm not sure they have explained what happens in a tie between more than two teams.

Yeah, thats how I read it too, but SE thinks EWU won the lottery with the win over MSU

Straight from the weekly release from the Big Sky this week:

TITLE TALK: If Northern Arizona were to lose, as many as three conference teams
are still in the hunt for at least a share of the regular-season title. Montana State,
Eastern Washington and Cal Poly are all 5-1 in conference with two games remaining. Eastern Washington has a home game against UC Davis and a road game
at Portland State remaining. Montana State plays host to Portland State before
closing at arch-rival Montana. Cal Poly plays host to Idaho State, and closes at
Northern Arizona. If all four teams tie at 7-1, all four teams would be recognized a
co-conference championship. The league’s automatic bid to the playoffs would go
to the team with the highest conference Sagarin Rating, as that would be the first
criteria in the Big Sky’s tiebreaker that could be met. All four teams would have
played and beat North Dakota, Portland State and UC Davis in conference games,
meaning the Sagarin Ratings would break the tie. If EWU, MSU and NAU all tie at
7-1 with NAU losing to Southern

4-way tie at 7-1 would come down to Sagarin Rankings.

I've always liked Jerome, he's seems like such a nice guy. Maybe that's why he hasn't done any better down in NAU. I wonder if getting someone to come up to him on TV and just bitch slap him a couple times would put some fire in that belly of his. I'd love to see him take out the Cats in the playoffs.

+1

I always thought UM made the wrong hire after Reed left. I wish they would have hired Jerome instead of Mick Dennehy. Nothing against Dennehy but just liked Jerome better.
