Tired of the corners are hard to find nonsense.
Corners are hard to find. There’s a reason they’re paid so well in the NFL. It’s because the ideal body type and skill set is so rare, that when you find one it becomes significantly valuable. A lot of coaches say it is the most important position on the field. You can protect every other position on the field, but if you have a slapstick corner you will be exposed at one point or another. The obvious answer to shitty corners is cover 2, but cover 2 to 12/21 personnel is less than ideal.
Point being is corners are hard to find, and corners that want to play in Montana cold are less than hard to find given their demographic quite frankly.
Don’t give me examples of the great corners we have had because it doesn’t matter. Those are outliers, but generally they will be significantly more difficult for Montana to find than other positions and other schools.

*Why is Milano nutty?
*I avoid ALL things pop culture, so I apologize if this is a stupid question.

223, I have a question, give your take: Now I know we don't know how they'll turn out, but in the past two years MSU has signed 4-5 3-star CB's....(I'm kind of making that number up because I'm too lazy to do the research but I remember reading about it on here a number of times). So my question is this: Is it THAT much warmer in Bozeman? :| :| :|
Some of that may be attributed to a difference in recruiting philosophy though. Choate has come out and said he tries to grab three or four corners in hopes that one works out
And Bobby does what? Recruits one guy and pins all his hopes on that guy? I'm fairly confident Bobby hopes to bring in 3-4 each class just like every other coach....

Garbage. Provide some proof that corners to Montana is harder than other schools.
Let me help you - there is none.
There are dozens of schools that play in the cold that can recruit corners... even in the FCS. All Americans and All conference. Every. Single. Year. Go look at All BSC selections over the last few years...cats, weber, idaho st., northern colorado....all had All BSC DBs. So, just stop.
There was a time when the Griz didn't talk about this...because they had solid corners. Some remember this...perhaps you do not.

Easy Hoss. I posted an internet pic of the exact poster I had hanging over 30 years ago. I haven't seen it since the 80's and was reminiscing, not drooling.
Now let's chat about how weird it IS that you still have that thing hanging? ...

Provide proof of a subjective argument that we’re having? Where is your proof? Examples of good corners in cold weather isn’t proof. I didn’t say they don’t exist but the level of difficulty is high whether you like to admit it or not.
I addressed the reasons cats have had good corners. Weber can easily recruit Salk Lake and has Tongan/Poly connection. Idaho state plays in a dome? Northern Colorado is in Colorado they have Denver for one, and 2 you’re going to try and tell me that they And I’d state consistently have better corners than us? Other than the few years under stitty was here and didn’t recruit them?
You are clueless man. I recruited Cali for 13 years and half the time those boys couldn’t find Montana on a map, much less want to leave Cali and go play in a state that’s known for the things we are.
The discussion is difficulty, not whether we have had good corners or not. That also doesn’t mean we won’t get good corners, i stated Soe and walker are good players. I provided reasoning as to why that’s so, can you give any as to why it should be easy to recruit corners?

It's difficult, yet other cold weather schools seem to get it done - even a school to the east in a state that apparently can't be found on a map.
That's not clueless. That's a fact.

Difficult doesn’t mean impossible pal. You’re individual examples still don’t provide ample reasoning as to why they aren’t hard to find as in your initial post suggests. Walker and Soe could grow up to ball all Americans but it doesn’t change the points I stated. Still waiting on yours.

God I get tired of trying to defend a coach who hasn’t been here in three years, but “Stitty didn’t recruit any” is just a false narrative, much like the false narrative that he somehow didn’t recruit any O-linemen. Stitt’s signed CB recruits/transfers in 3 classes (‘15, ‘16, ‘17):
Sanders
Reynard
Egbo
Fouch
Cowans
Nash (listed as a CB on the 2015 roster)
That’s at least two signed each of his three years. And go look back at the old recruiting threads. Lots of offers out there, but almost all took better offers from FBS schools. Argue the talent level of those signed all you want, but Stitt didnt’ just “not recruit” CB’s during his time here. He may not have been a great coach, but he wasn’t retarded. And to be honest, Bobby hasn’t done much better in filling those slots that Stitt apparently left bare.

Soldier, i wasn’t necessarily arguing that it’s not impossible...it seems like we always have CB envy against almost whoever we play....I can’t explain it. I would hope that Hall would fix that, but it hasn’t happened yet.

You have no credibility. Egbo was a running back. Fouch was a QB. And Nash was a receiver. Ask anyone a part of the staff. I wasn’t knocking stitt, he thought that corners were so hard to find here that he could recruit receivers for his offense and the more corner like ones could cross over. Not a terrible plan, but you don’t have any idea what you’re talking about.
