I feel like there's another inside joke here that I'm missing...Jai alai?
I feel like there's another inside joke here that I'm missing...Jai alai?
Did you all see the video I posted on a couple of other threads from Nick Tabor and he is in the new football equipment room? They're probably not wearing new uniforms for the whole season, seeing as how we already have a blackout (CWU), stripe the stadium (Indiana St) and maroon out (MSU) planned as game themes already (unless they just....cancel all of those lol).
Seems like the plan, like some have mentioned, is to sell limited edition merch for the anniversary.
Could you repost that? I seem to have missed it.Did you all see the video I posted on a couple of other threads from Nick Tabor and he is in the new football equipment room?
They told him, no new uniforms, still wearing the same ones from the last 4 years or whatever. They also show the black uniforms ready to go for the season and said those were meant to just be a one year, but the players like them.
Tabor asks him if there are any plans for a throwback helmet and he is very evasive and says something like, 'you never know.' He mentions throwback uniforms, same response. Then they asked him about a copper jersey on a desk and that is explained as an old shirt they wrapped up in plastic and put there as a joke to a student that works there.
No, I was just assuming that jai alai was the first thing on your mind when you're in Missoula like it is for me.I feel like there's another inside joke here that I'm missing...
Took me a minute. Here it is.Could you repost that? I seem to have missed it.
Yeah, I saw all that.Did you all see the video I posted on a couple of other threads from Nick Tabor and he is in the new football equipment room?

I think it is a lot more likely this was supposed to be a big surprise at the Cats game.Yeah, I saw all that.
I mean, if they are wearing all copper and gold unis for the entire season, then you're necessarily suggesting that all of their plans I mentioned for game themes are a lie. Maybe that's true, but it would seem really weird to go through all that to then be like "sike!" and have them the whole season. Why have a maroon out if the team is wearing copper? It also doesn't fit this AD's M.O. at all.
We'll certainly see, but I find it extremely unlikely.
I would not every imagine they are wearing those for the entire season, that isn't what I am suggesting. I could see them wearing them for HoF weekend against Eastern, for example, and then selling them like they have done before. Again, not saying that will be the case, but I could see it being done and now it seems like there is a lot of info leaking out that leads one to believe it is not impossible, but only for that one game.Yeah, I saw all that.

I'd love to see that again. If they are promoting a maroon out though, I think the marketing tendency of this administration is that this will stick for Bozeman. All they have for Eastern is the HoF weekend. How many copper 15 jerseys could they sell for that gala event!I think it is a lot more likely this was supposed to be a big surprise at the Cats game.
Well I'm still confused then...No, I was just assuming that jai alai was the first thing on your mind when you're in Missoula like it is for me.
My guess is they were planning on wearing something (maybe) for one or both of the games that currently have no theme announced: Idaho and Cal Poly (Homecoming).I think it is a lot more likely this was supposed to be a big surprise at the Cats game.
I had to look it up. It makes no more sense still.Well I'm still confused then...
I mean, I KNOW what jai alai is. We actually played it when I was in grade school at Jefferson in Missoula. I just don't get CDA's humor sometimes. I thought there must be something more to his comment that I was somehow missing.I had to look it up. It makes no more sense still.
The image I had of your first post was the first thing my wife and I do when we get into Missoula, since it's just us, after two long days on the road or six hours in the air with a layover is check into our lodging. If it it's too early for that, the Bearkat fan can get hangry, and she will suggest a burger and a beer at the Mo Club.
If some silly version of racquetball is more your thing though, have at it, we appreciate an empty seat at the bar.![]()
Don't feel you are alone.I just don't get CDA's humor sometimes.
See that made me chuckle.Don't feel you are alone.
there's some serious tetherball being played under the Reserve Street bridge...not for the faint of heartJai alai?
I’ve never had the wrist dexterity for high intensity matches.there's some serious tetherball being played under the Reserve Street bridge...not for the faint of heart
It should be the Bobcats. No game is more important and the throwback scheme will never get stale. My guess is they were planning on wearing something (maybe) for one or both of the games that currently have no theme announced: Idaho and Cal Poly (Homecoming).
Plus, and maybe this is just me, but the 2008 Brawl bait and switch was awesome. Doing it again now feels a lot less exciting. I love the look of our all maroon jerseys in the home brawl, which we haven't done in a while, and I wish they'd bring back.
Based on the length of this thread it may have already gone a bit stale! It should be the Bobcats. No game is more important and the throwback scheme will never get stale.
jai alai is excellent training for tetherball…I’ve never had the wrist dexterity for high intensity matches.
