Contract Renewal

So, Stitt was OUR Sixx?

At least Stitt managed to find some good QBs - keeping them ambulatory was an issue, but also has been fur Bobby. With Stitt you got the feeling he really valued and built around a QB, with Bobby the QB only needs to be a game manager.

Curious what it would take to get Dickenson out of Canada and return to Glory, CFL doesn't disclose coaching salaries but its estimated at a quarter to half a million a year, and with Canadian taxes that doesn't leave you with much, I would imagine the Griz could come close to his asking price especially with our NEW NIL deal, If we could land DAVE I feel we would return to GLORY in no time, one he's been a very solid coach up north and has expanded into GM duties as well. Make him the AD as well LOL

Soldier you keep saying that, but in Haslam’s defense he hasn’t exactly had a fair shake when it comes to coaching searches in Football. Engstrom basically handcuffed him to Stitt and the boosters handcuffed him to Bobby. This would be the first time that he genuinely would be able to conduct a national search without any restrictions or anyone breathing down his neck. You’re being a little too critical of Haslam

This is a complete load of manure…..Kent botched the 2014 search/hire that brought Stitt to Missoula. For the sake of people’s memories; we should not forget that Kent’s first real choice was Beau Baldwin who was HC at EWU at the time. Kent made multiple trips to Spokane attempting to secure Baldwin, who used the Montana interest to secure a better contract at EWU (and frankly had zero interest in coming to Missoula)….when that didn’t work Haslam would not leave campus/Missoula to visit other candidates. As a result a couple top notch candidates left the search; including one whose P5 team is in the Top 25….and he is making over $5MM/yr.

Stitt came out of the forest very late in the search being championed by Pryor Orser (who somehow was a football coaching source)….had a career record of 108-62 (63.5% WP) with 1 career outright league title, one shared and one career playoff win in 17 seasons….won 1 playoff game at Montana. How could anyone be shocked that he wouldn’t/couldn’t succeed at Montana?

Keep in mind that Haslam was selected to be AD after a search that Engstrom put together that included a Big Sky conference retread that had been AD at two other schools and two candidates that were from schools that didn’t have football teams…..not exactly the most robust, football focused group of candidates ever assembled.

This! But, keep your head in the sand Griz fans.

Haslam owns every single Nickle of this mess.

I think Hauck would be fine if he'd just replace the whole offensive coaching staff. Everyone coaching any positions on that side of the ball, is garbage. That's about the only way he can save grace.

..no friend Hauck is the problem...hes the one that sets the agenda the rest follow his
command....no saving grace here...captain goes down with his boys!

Most of you have posted your dislike of Bobby and want him fired. Time to settle down and allow the team to finish the season without further distraction. Who knows, they might win some games.

They’re on pace to go 9-3.

Last night, I noticed my daughter reading the book "the emperor has no clothes".

I thought that was appropriate.

Nice self-own, since for little girls, their Dad is the emperor.

Did the game today change any votes?

We competed evenly with Idaho State. We were lucky ISU had so many mistakes (and good defensive plays on our part). We beat a team we should have nothing more, we still have a long season and I still see us unfortunately going 6-5 at best, so no I still want some new blood in here after this season as of now.

Griz played fairly well in 2d half. Good win. The team and every good fan were happy.

Might want to pump the breaks here just a little bit. Davis was reeling with some big injuries.

You can absolutely come back and gloat if we win next weekend, though. :thumb:
