Well deserved, he was a beast in that game.

GREAT.... He sure as hell deserves that accolade!!!! Was totally a well behaved "Animal" out there Saturday. Plus he made me laugh loud and long, talking to and patting Cookus on the helmet before they got the word on the ejection !!!!! What a guy!!!!

He has reached Jedi status as far as getting into players helmets and living rent-free in their heads.

I've been one Strahm's biggest critics; I have high expectations for the opportunities that this position provides to make big plays. He had not been performing up to those expectations and had not been showing the motor that produces a lot of pursuit opportunities. That is changing over the last three games and I think his performance is a big reason the defense made a major turn for the better. The play he made causing the fumble was the kind of hit he can deliver; it was a great play. Too many times he and others in the D do the grabbing thing to try to pull the ball out, usually resulting in continuing yardage. Kudo to Strahm; if he plays like this Murray should not be able to run QB draws past his space without paying the price this year.

Glad you are finally seeing the light. I know him fairly well, so watch him a lot in games. I believe he has been playing at a high level and productive the whole season once he got back on the field, as well as last year. The last 2 games were particularly good for him. He has 62 tackles (3d on team), despite only starting 5 games and playing in 7 games, and not suiting up the first 2 game.

He covers well and has decent speed. He has a nice pass rush, and often does participate in the blitz.

He's a really nice kid. GeorgeF has noted that previously at times.

The coaches tell and teach the defensive players to try to strip the ball. That's apparently what they want. I believe Strahm has caused more fumbles than any Griz player in the last 2 years, not necessarily from stripping.

All of the linebackers are playing very well know, and are mobile. Generally, good tacklers, at least most of the time.

I agree with Kem and P/R. The only criticism I have of Strahm is that he sometimes charges into the line too quickly and gets caught up in a block that he can't shed and the running back squirts through another hole. But he gives great effort and plays at full tilt all the time.

+1 on the entire post. I also have been critical of #10. He has really upped his game in the last month. I'll be watching him closely in the Cat game. I'm sure he wants to kick some royal a$$ in that one. I'm quite confidant he would like to send Murray into 2018 with a limp considering the events of last years contest... :egriz:

Don't agree. Most of those times are defensive plays called where he is supposed to blitiz or charge up the hole, is my understanding.

My view is that the 2 of you have upped your game to recognize what he has been doing all season.

I have been saying all along we need Connor to get one of his personal fouls for unnecessary roughness. Although he hasn't received a personal foul, he has stepped up his forcefulness and now has opposing offenses paying attention to him. Our Defense was hitting (almost) like a Griz team of old this week. I wouldn't want to be Murray next week...he will pay for his runs!
Congrats Connor...well deserved!

It seems like every week the Griz have a POW. Does anyone have a weekly breakdown of Griz and cat POW this year. The kitty fans were claiming all Pre season how superior they were over the Griz in quality of players.

Have to admit that when the news hit Facebook as "BREAKING NEWS: Connor Strahm...." my heart skipped a beat before realizing this time around it was good news.
