The Griz are in the dance! Unfortunately, if that idiot Joe Lunardi is to be believed, UM is headed to Indi as the 16 seed to face 1 Illinois. Of course, if UM can pull off the "impossible", it will get easier as the Griz' second round opponent would either be 8 Nevada or 9 Creighton.

FYI, my Tigers just got shafted by the BW commissioner. It's apparent that the ordered the refs to flat out HAND the title to Utah State. (Of course, the Ags DID have to actually take advantage of that, which they did.) I guess the idea was that by making UOP lose, the BW could get two bids. I think that he's sorely mistaken. The committee is going to send UOP to the NIT, I believe.

That said, I hope UM knocks off the Illini or whoever it is that they get in the first round.

Lunardi has a history of being pretty accurate. Best Montana can hope for is a 15 seed. Big Sky was not very good overall. Pacific gets in as there are fewer bubble teams with good records this year

I hope Pacific gets a bid. UOP was one of the schools my daughter considered, and we visited there in March 1997, when the Tigers also had a great team. We were impressed with the school, the campus and the people we met there.

Hornet, you have to be kidding me. The Refs handed the game to Utah State? You are the first UOP fan in all the threads I have read on the Big West and USU boards to say that. I watched the second half of the game, UOP lost because of super cold shooting in the second half. Thier was also that little 20-5 run. USU got the rebounds on both sides of the court.

And why would Dennis Farrell want to see a team leaving the league win the tourney? The Big West has been trying to run USU (and Idaho) out of the league since the other non-CA football schools left the league. Farrel has done no favors for USU since then and I don't think he would have the refs "throw" the tourney in USU's favor. UoP just got beat. I hope Uop does well in the NCAA's but, come on, the refs handed the game to USU? Puh-leeezze....
