It was way more than that. Many at the university were opposed to Crews.
 
Young people make mistakes and its up to real leaders and shapers of young men to give those players a second chance and help them turn their lives around and get right. Real men like Sanders at Colorado and Vigen at MSU understand this and help turn out better people when they leave, than what entered the program

Sure thing Wolf. Because member of squads and platoons always get to choose their teammates.

They never do - they are assigned to units by the chain of command. Leaders make those choices and there are no vetoes on the decisions - they are final.

I don't care either way - it's old, tired news. BH, the Griz, and the UofM moved on long ago.

I simply answered the question asked.

Vigen had almost no pressure on him to prevent him from taking Cruise. I believe Cruise was not on scholarship or the team or something at first. Good for Vigen and the Cats. Bobby, and probably the AD and president, were getting considerable pressure. From what I understand, Bobby was getting some from members of his team too. You wouldn't understand because you are young and never played the game at a high enough level and certainly never coached or led an organization.

Perhaps. But I wonder if Crews, with what he posted on Venmo, what he did and said after that, and going to the Cats and getting this continuous press and attention, is going to end up having some people including people in Missoula, against him. What was a pretty small mistake turned into a much bigger and longer-lasting matter. I've never met him, but had heard good things about him during his high school days. We lived a block from Sentinel, so I could hear alot of things.

You're correct. Crews enrolled at MSU in the fall of '22 and had no affiliation with the team. That spring he walked-on to the football team with no scholarship and no guaranteed spot. Fall of '23 he played a decent amount as a walk-on player. I believe he then earn some type of scholarship starting in 2024. Vigen was very candid and transparent about the process, as seen in the article below.

There were no players that put pressure on Hauck. You wouldn't know anyway because you are too old and have very little idea of how football is played now days and how the locker rooms are.
