Just think, we used to play like that before innovation and genius.
Innovation and genius allowed us to beat them this year, one of 5 teams in the last 75 games to do so. Mix in a little better recruiting, and I think we can knock them out of the saddle for good! :thumb:
I guess I was remembering the last time we played them. Only the Cat's think games in August are important.

Only Cats fans come on a Griz message board to congratulate NDSU and then find a way to bash the Griz.
Not a Cat fan and I never congratulated NDSU. Nor did I bash the Griz.

Fair enough, cheers to you, and congrats to NDSU. You did imply that the Griz are not on the right path, but I think we are. Every game is important, especially when you're able to beat the four-time defending champion (who's about to win their fifth). The victory hints of greater things to come, which we're both hoping for!

Amen

Our 37-6 beat down, on the Bison home field, doesn't have quite as much sting after today's 37-10 beat down on a neutral field.

Actually, August,September,October, and November games all have equal importance when you have national aspirations. Seeding is critical in this 4 or 5 game playoff bracket.

Thanks! This team has really stepped it up and I'm proud of our playoff games. Especially on defense.
It was a great win! Now onto Iowa.

Hats of to NDSU, no transfers, no drop downs and look at the program they have built.

It's true. They've definitely built a program on Golden Gopher/Badger rejects.

Maybe Montana needs to recruit Minnesota and Wisconsin too.

Does not matter where we recruit from. We just need our OL to get tougher, meaner, and nastier again. Also a more consistent offense needs to come into play. NDSU is great in the trenches and has a consistent offense to go with great defense.

The GRIZ offense will continue to improve, hopefully sooner than later, under Stitt. The GRIZ are not too far off being championship contenders again.

Stitt's biggest flaw is his unwillingness to consider the effect TOP had on a game. In the past 75 games , NDSU has lost 1 game when they won the TOP battle. There is a yin and yang effect between the offense and defense when you play the TOP game. Allows NDSU to play fresh and fast on defense.

Agree on the trenches though. Montana needs to get bigger.

I'll be in Missoula for hunting next year during Cat Griz. If someone can lend me a Griz shit, I'll help you guys cheer against those cowards from Bozeman. Still pissed about 2013. Those guys and going to get pounded the next time NDSU plays them.

Thanks for posting on eGriz.com on a day your team played a team that wasn't the Griz!

Yes, your big uglies were bigger and uglier than ours. And that is the dilemma of the Stitt air-based attack. It can beat bigger teams, like when we beat you this year, but it's riskier than a ground-and-pound attack. It's especially dependent on great play and good decision-making by the QB. I think it's going to work really well over time, but fans used to the more conservative approach are having a hard time adjusting.

If you take a look at how the Bison have recruited the last four years, you will find out they aren't going anywhere. Absolutely loaded. Jealous is an understatement.

They don't sting as much because the outcome was known before kickoff.

Normally one doesn't expect the return of a shit. I'm sure someone will be happy to donate one...

And it only makes sense to take a more conservative, TOP-oriented approach when you're the biggest, fastest team on the field - why get risky when you can play conservative and win? That's what some Griz fans have to understand. Stitt's system allows us to compete with these guys (on a neutral field - I do think the Bison Dome got to us a bit), and if we can reduce the size gap, our chances will be even better.
