This probably doesn't need to be said. They are a top notch program and have done everything but beat the Griz the past few years in the tourney. I have nothing but good things to say about their program, players, coach and coaching staff.

Big props go out to them and really hope they do well in the NIT.

This game was a coinflip. Weber has a fine team, perhaps better balanced than the Griz. Congratulations to them for a fine season. Hope they go deep in the NIT.

Yeah it doesn't look good for Weber getting an NIT bid, which is unfortunate. They are definitely good enough to be in it... but in talking to a couple of people that know a lot more about that stuff than I do, and they say they just don't really have the quality wins to make it.

Great season for them. They will be back. Next year there should be a great battle among at least 4 teams - UM, WSU, UNC, UND. It will be fun!

UND will be someone to reckon with in the coming years.

I'm sorry but their coach does look a bit like a ferret.

It will be a questionable possibility. Weber State does have wins over UC-Irvine (20-15) that lost to Pacific in the Big West Conference Tournament Championship to Pacific; and a win over Dayton (17-14) that had a tough draw(12) in losing to Butler(5) in the First Round of their (Atlantic 10 Conference) Tournament.

It does seem interesting that Weber State, to me at least, having as talented a team that they had, starters and bench combined, lose track of themselves and go the way of: At least when they play the Griz in Missoula; which doesn't bother me at all. It was a great game for the Griz to win; it just seems like Weber State seems too full of themselves, at times, and lose track of the goal of the program and the overall team accomplishment bit. It's like someone put a different idea in their head's when it comes to their playing in Missoula.

Yeah both teams made a heck of a game tonight, couldn't have asked for a better championship to end the Big Sky Tourney. Great prep for the Big Dance!! Go GRIZ! And come to think of it, all this without our leading scorer Ward. Our young guys sure have stepped up for us late.

Would be nice to see another BSC team invited to the NCAA Tournament, though. with their 26 - 6 record perhaps a play-in game? They have four of those now. There doesn't seem to be too many outlandish upsets this year in the conference tournaments going on this year so a very long shot possibility might exist. Considering how well Damien Lillard has done recently that may reside in the back-of-the-minds and might sway some favor their way, considering. The NCAA Selection Committee could do something like that; at the very least, I hope, an NIT invite. They deserve to keep on playing at least one more game, but what do I know. :twocents:
