FIrst, I am DAMN proud of this basketball team. They battled toe-to-toe with the 8th ranked team in the nation. They got down 14 and easily could have folded and simply gone home. They were just as quick as UNM, and certainly were not the least bit intimidated by them.
But losing sucks, and I'm tired of collecting moral victories.
But I will say, one day soon this team will get a few breaks in a game like this, and they will start a serious roll. The Zags started all of their success as a 12 seed push to the Sweet 16, and after what we witnessed today, there's no reason to think the Griz cannot do the same thing.
Finally, it's STILL a great day to be a Grizzly. Up WIth Montana, Boys!
