Conference Play Begins: EWU at Montana Game Thread

Other than officiating, nice 1st half by both teams. Players staying composed as well. I'm honestly liking the make up, depth, and composure of this Griz team.

You're right. It looks like both teams are focused and composed. I'll be surprised if either team pulls away. Griz are executing better though. Will the better shots fall more?

I feel that wasn’t the plan but foul trouble forced his hand. Without Whitney’s 2 fouls I doubt Brown or Vazquez gets in. It is imperative that they find a consistent role for Vazquez. He is more than a break glass in case of emergency option. Particularly for a team begging for bench production.

Actually the half was a best case scenario for the Griz. A two point lead with only 7 mins (and zero points) from Whitney.

Both teams shooting well, but the Griz need to pick it up on rebounding.

We've seen worse from some BSC crews, but 22 fouls in a half is on pace to go into the forties. Definitely a whistle-happy bunch. With so many breaks in the flow of play, it's a bit surprising that the teams are shooting as well as they are.

Yes, those 3 with Bannan and Martin/ Mooney (rotating). Nap with nice minutes too. Can't wait until he gets more freedom to do more. Right now, he's just expected to play smart. He's going to be a great player, with time.

Just noticed: Bench scored 11 points, over a quarter of the total ... that's pretty good for the Griz.

Anderson four fouls in less than 3 minutes play. A few turnovers, and missed bunnies. One more year with Mac....He might be best as an assistant coach but as a player, not so much right now.
