I think Zapata trumped that card

My thoughts exactly.... was hoping these two would be the "suprises" that Paytonlives was promising..... Not overly excited about this class compared to 2008's.... Big fan of the size that we added on the DLine which was a major concern after last year....looks like we cleaned up the state of Montana pretty well.... as always though who really knows what kind of talent we brought in.....it will be interesting to see how it all shakes out.... Transfer from Western Washington? have we ever signed someone from a lower division before?? Again i'm a little puzzled over this group.... but LOVE what BH did with the guys he recruited on DLine from a size stand point...... other than that pretty anti-climactic..... maybe we are waiting on a couple guys holding out for D-1 offers?? Could somebody with more knowledge than myself please fill in the holes here?

the transfer from the cali juco is Zach McRae. Last I heard he was in Missoula and to be on the team.

Anyone who is overly excited, or unimpressed with a recruiting class comprised of HS kids, with a couple exceptions should have a cup of coffee. There is NO WAY of knowing who is going to become a player, all BSC, or All American. NAME ONE PERSON who predicted walk-on Colt Anderson would be named the team MVP, and be a consensus All Amercian?

I understand that completely.... I guess the lack of skill players signed also adds to the lack of excitement surrounding this 09' crop..... it will be fun when they compile all of the highlight tapes and post them on the team page.... those are always fun to watch and promote even more speculation.... I guess more than anything I was hoping for Tillman and Taylor to commit.... Very obvious but Very good point about players like Colt... who really knows??? Thats part of what makes following a lower level team a bit more enjoyable.....watching small town walk ons develop into stars.... we aren't getting any 3-5 star players so its all about developing unkown talent....as always it will be interesting to see how this shakes out.....gotta say again I'm excited about what we did on the DLine

I will be excited at about 6:00 after I watch their highlight clips at the signing day function.

Western Washington is dropping football. They had two very good players, one of whom is coming to UM. I believe the other is going to Nevada.

The running back from Bellevue is fast, shifty and sttong (for this size). I think he averaged over 10 yards per carry, as the main back on a very good running team. Is a very good returner and may be able to help right away.

What stands out to me for this class? The natural size for the DL we signed. They do not need alot of bulking up in weight. Maybe we can finally focus on their skills sooner than building their body up 1st. Linebackers are also good size for freshman and only need to add 10 to 20 lbs.

I am excited for all the recruits, at this point though Murray and Pierson intrigue me the most. I do not know much about Murry, but we beat out some damn good programs for him. He has good size too.

As for Pierson, 6'3" 212 lbs, SAFETY! WTF? That is the size of our LBS and DE's many years. He must have decent speed to be projected at safety. At his size he can be converted to play anywhere but OL and CB. I cannot imagine a 6'3" 212 lb safety protecting the middle or blitzing. Seeing that on paper is intimidating, let alone playing against it! If I were BH, this kid would be my biggest project to build on. If he does not cut it as a Safety, find out asap and build him at LB, DE, WR, or TE. I know this kid has hops already. Anyone know what his 40 time is? Physically this kid must be a genetic freak (meant in a good way)!! I cannot help but intrigued by this kid. The scary thing is he played for a small school. He probably does not even realize how good he can be with the right coaching and attitude. I have never seen this kid play a down or seen him period. However, am willing to go out on the limb and put him as my favorite to be the "STEAL" of this recruiting class when all is said and done. I doubt he will play his FR year, but have a feeling the next 4 years will be a nice progression for GRIZNATION!

Anyone that can fill us in on him or any of the recruits would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. BTW, I am posting this on another thread too.
