We have spent a great deal of time talking about college football realignment this summer, leading up to the cataclysmic shift that occurred over the last few days. Here's links to all of our conversations about this. Certainly more to come.

Wild F'ing horses couldn't drag me to your after the fact site to 'discuss' this topic. You had your chance and blew it. Admit what you are.

Heard UW and Oregon are getting about a 50% share of Big Ten revenue initially. Just over $30 million, maybe 32. The revenue will rise a bit each year. When new contract, which is new, is done in 7 years, full shares. USC and UCLA got about 70%.

Oregon St and and Wash St could end up in MW. If so, would have to reduce expenses significantly. I feel sorry for them. The Pac-12 was poorly managed, maybe mismanaged.

Stanford may become an Independent. Cal is screwed. Stanford has a lot of rich alums, but will they fund athletics? I can't see Stanford being able to compete with the top 50 programs anymore.

Apple Cup will continue in WA.

Nice. Looking forward to the listen in the same manner the bub staff is looking forward to that 8th vod soda.

That may be a something to ask Vigen about, incidentally …..

I really enjoyed Monday’s podcast and discussion of the possibility of the “Front” schools aligning to form a conference. This would put the Montana schools in a league with Idaho, Weber, Wyoming, Colorado State, NMSU, Air Force and Utah State. I believe, might have missed one or fudged a school here or there.

The west coast side of the MW and BSC would then band together to create their own conference. To me, I believe this would be the best long term fit for us. I hope it can materialize.

Coach Hauck talked about conference realignment (he once worked at UCLA, Colorado and Washington before his first stint at head coach at Montana) as well as his offensive and defensive lines.

This is intriguing, however, from what Colter listed, I don’t think Nevada would be lumped into the Cali schools and I think UTEP and/or NM State would be approached about joining before any of the FCS schools mentioned. Weren’t both of these schools fellow members with many of the MW schools as part of the old WAC?
