Coming to Missoula

I really enjoy Ciao Mambo Italian Restaurant downtown Missoula. Great food and wine! Close to stadium as well! Prices are reasonable!

I had it in Whitefish a week or so ago. I’m assuming basically the same menu. My buddy traveling with me is the son of Italian immigrants, and he said it was legit. High praise. I really liked it as well. Nice addition.

Pretty silly posts if you read the entire thread. Food critics on f###[#] hamburgers? And wine for Christ's sake! No mention whatsoever about all the great Montana Craft beers! This is Montana and one of the Dakota teams and half a dozen posters are babbling about the best steakhouse in the area. No mention as to what tailgate area will have the best BBQ ribs, steaks, burgers, beer troughs, kegs...

Christ oh mighty...

Totally. Whenever someone asks me if a certain hamburger burger place is good, I tell them it’s a hamburger. It’s completely the same whether it’s Umami or AM/PM. I do the same for sushi.

Super1 frequently has sushi...

Personally, I give the raw fish I catch to the neighbors cat.

How many McDonalds and Burger kings are in Missoula?

I have been married to an Italian woman for almost 42 years now. Her Grandfather came here from Italy. Her family makes the best Italian dishes anywhere. However, Ciao mambo's is very good and pretty close to authentic on some stuff.

Not enough. I’d like to see more of them and to see them start serving some smallmouth bass nigiri. The kind of thing you can pick up on your lunch break and give to the kids for dinner.

Or put in your neighbors hubcaps...

Y’all haven’t had the burger dove in Billings and it shows

I haven’t, but I’ve had the Burger Dive in Billings. It was a hamburger. Accordingly, there’s no way it could be improved upon or worsened. I learned that today from a Cat fan who likes ribs from an instant pot.

The huckleberry burger from the burger dive is definitely one of the best burgers I’ve had.

Have you ever caught any other kind of fish? I think that would be a great fishing story.

Can’t speak for the Cat, but I’ve caught more than a few sautéed suckers out of the South Fork of the CDA (Lead Creek) in the Silver Valley. The ones with fewer than three eyes were trophies. Before the drive-in/truck stop closed, it was dinner and a movie.
