Nope, like I said practice squad at best. AT this level you need athleticism, football intelligence, heart, and that size. AG had three of four, but not all four. I think, if... he can get a shot in the XFL, he may have another shot at a spot on a roster next year. If he ends up in the CFL, you won't see him in the NFL again, and heck it's not the NFL but it pays decent. Ask Bergquist about that, he made enough money to buy up half of Missoula and turn it into Condos.

Lol no but he could have. My point is he may not make NFL money, but he can make CFL money which isn't bad. I just did a tad bit of research and the minimum for the CFL is $70K/year and the average starter, average, is $121K. Play ten years, with proper investing and he could do well for himself.

I guess I should have considered that the Missoula thing was a sensitive sensitive subject. I don't live in Missoula anymore so I don't care. Anyway, if he did there's nothing wrong with it.

I think you overestimate what the average player in the CFL makes per season.

Well I hope he makes the practice squad again. I’m really good friends with him (known him since preschool) and his wife (known her since 5th grade). I know that a practice squad salary is probably not the life of luxury. Especially out in Seattle. I want all the best for him!

I can tell you Cole Bergquist did not make his real estate seed money off his time in the CFL. His wikipedia paints a glowing picture but in reality he was an occasional backup but mostly third string. Two years; zero starts, 1-6 passing and 3 yards rushing.

I always hoped he would get more of chance but it was not in the cards.

Man practice squad money is pretty dadgum decent if he lives on the Kansas side.

He met his now wife while playing in the CFL. That's worth a lot.
