The # of reps is NOT the tell all. According to coaches who have opined on the topic, the length of one's arms has a lot to do with it. Someone with longer arms generally is going to do less reps. When you think about it, makes sense.

Looks like there were 7 linebackers faster than that. However, 2 faster ran 4.65 and 3 faster ran 4.66. 2 guys ran 4.51 and 4.52. That essentially puts JT in a big 6-way tie for 3rd (given then only .02 separates 6 guys).

3.96 in 20. Others, 4.02, 4.07, 4.15, 4.18, 4.19, 4.20 (2), 4.22, 4.26. Wow, he ran away from the field in the 20.

Makes me wonder, could Jordy be looked at as a Kam Chancellor-type of SS prospect? Kam is 6-3, 232 and got a lot of press nationally this post-season for being a unique type of safety because of his overall size, speed, and then of course ability to really put a hurt on players. Jordan is actually just about identical in height/weight.

Interesting to look at Chancellor's combine stats:

40 yard: 4.59
20-shuttle: 4.41
3-cone: 7.36
Vert: 32 inches
Broad: 9 feet, 9 inches
Bench reps: 22

What I've read so far about Tripp:

40 yard: 4.67
20-shuttle: 3.96
3-cone: 6.89
Vert: 37.5 inches
Broad: 10 feet
Bench reps: 22

Physically, with the exception of the 40 time... he's showing similar to even better numbers than Chancellor.

One of these is not like the other....of the top 11 players in the entire combine in the 20 yard shuttle, TEN are WR's. ONE is an OLB. From lil' ol' Montana. :lol: :lol: :lol:
 
Tripp crushed it out there in the important drills, shuttles and cones.

I don't think he has the coverage skills to play safety, but that's just me.
