I'm freaking excited for this year. I have faith that Stitts offense will work at this level.

To sum it up. Stitt gets it. He seems pretty sharp and this isn't something he just came up with when he got hired. My concern is......how long will it take the kids to get it? I say mid season. Too bad NDSU wasn't at the end of regular season.

Exactly. This offense will be better than any of the past 3 years, and last years team put up 35 unanswered. Plus, the 'Scats always lose in November.

I think so. Crazy to think that 3 of the Cats' 5 victories (by 7, 5, and 9 points) over the last 29 years were during complete regime changes for the Griz. So, the Cats have won 2 out of 29 where the Griz weren't going through a coaching change. Kind of puts the whole thing in perspective. Thanks!

Not sure about Bobby, probably Robin and Mick, definitely not Glenn, Dennehy, or Reid. We usually beat you guys worse than usual in your litter box so I'd give Stitt the edge this year. Obviously you'd hope your guys would take more of an advantage when our team is in transition, cause once our coaches settle in, the beatings really get going, such as all the examples you gave above (Bobby, Robin, and Mick all crushed you guys in their last years). For your sake, you'd better try and snag one from Stitt right off the bat because it could get ugly.

Agreed. The way I look at it, Stitt is our offensive coordinator now. From what I've seen of him he is a really great OC, I'm a huge Germer fan which directly addresses our biggest weakness last year. Lets also remember that we now have Idaho State's receiving coach (Ferriter, who of course bleeds maroon) who helped coach the best statistical offense in the Sky last year, and imo, our two most important offensive players (Henderson and Schmaing) are back, not to mention the leadership they should provide.

I agree. The guy pays attention to detail and will have the team well prepared.

I don't know they'll be favored. That is just my estimate. We know for a fact that NDSU is favored, so that's one. When they beat you (Yes, they are going to beat you soundly despite a bunch of predictions on here that you're somehow going to spring the upset with the miracle coach). Then going into the CP game, I don't know who will be favored but probably UM, depending on how bad NDSU beats you. I predict a loss there and then Liberty will be favored and will probably beat you. That takes you to NAU and they may be favored because you'll be 0-3. God forbid you lose that one. I think you win and keep winning until ISU although if any of those four middle teams of UCD, Weber, UND, PSU start strong there might be a pick em game in there. Then I think isu will be favored and win, same with EWU, but i have you beating EWU. That brings us the brawl and we'll be favored. Of course since we're favored in that one we'll win! :lol:


The only place I might be off in these predictions is in the first three games. You may surprise me and win one of those. You won't win two, and you won't win two of your last three either. So best case 7-4 worst case 5-6.

Same lofty expectations by cat fans every year. Then November rolls around and cat fans are totally deflated. It's a constant in the big sky, and very fun to watch every year! Can't wait to see it again this year...and next year....
