Colorado Mines' Justin Dvorak

WTF homey? I call you on your shit and you respond by trying to quote some third party? You're certifiable. Bet you've never owned up to anything in your life. Thanks for proving my point
Your sudden sensitivity to hyperbole was appropriately marked by your sudden imperviousness to it within the same thread string. You are free to have your opinion. You are also free to be an idiot about it. Congratulations on the twofer.

He absolutely can find and develop talented quarterbacks. Hopefully he gets his chance
show his stuff.

Just a simple question - no need to call me a dickhead (I'm a little sensitive from another post) for asking it. Can you show this forum where Stitt has actually DEVELOPED playoff-deep winning quarterbacks? If so I will shut up. It didn't happen with the two he had coming in to this program. I acknowledge that he seems to be a good recruiter but what subsequently happens to the growth of those players appears to be questionable.

I'm sorry that you're sensitive and if I hurt your feelings. Seems like a higher concentration of dick heads around here these days so I'm admittedly a little more abrasive. That's my own fault.

Stitt never had a team go deep into the playoffs at Colorado School of Mines and Technology. He did however develop a couple quarterbacks that earned national recognition for performance on the field and in the classroom.

Classroom work, and the character of many of these young men is probably why Stitt will be here for a long time. To often people think its all about performance on the field. It's about life, and performance in that classroom too.

I'm 98% certain Still will be here as long as he wants to be.

So if we continue to have seasons like this year, finishing in the middle of the BSC, not making the playoffs, losing to the Scats, you believe that Stitt will continue to be our coach as long as he wants?

What about the first season? With dominant wins against the scats and Eagles, a win against NDSU, and navigating through 3 quarterbacks?

Don't forget that first year. He is a damn good coach who is just getting it all in place.

Of course, in any other context, that would be with Delaney recruits and a Delaney DC. But in THIS context, the opposite is true, "because". Egriz is sounding more and more like Bobcat Nation.

Coach Ash comes to mind.

Where are Stitt's recruits? Oh ya.....they are all freshmen or redshirt freshmen.

These players LOVE playing for this staff. And I think we need to see that come to fruition.

It's interesting that you've been just about 100% wrong on everything you've said or predicted about this coach over the past 18 months. How many players have you talked to? What did they actually say?

Seems hypocritical

What you say may be true and I hope it is. However the question I asked was different than the one you responded to. Ordigger seemed to suggest that our record will have little or no influence on whether or not Stitt continues as head coach. The main thing that matters, according to his post, is that Classroom work, and the character of many of these young men is probably why Stitt will be here for a long time.

Classroom work and character are super important, but so are results on the field. Let's all hope that 2016 was an outlier year.
I believe that we had the talent this past year to do better than 3-5 in BSC play. Maybe not. Maybe Stitt got all he could out of players that were mostly recruited by Delaney. Personally I was disappointed this year in how prepared our players seemed to be for some of the games and the adjustments made in those games. This was highlighted by the game against the Scats - one of the most one-dimensional teams to come to WaGriz. They threw the ball less than Cal Poly, yet we seemed to unable to come up with a plan to stop them.

I am super excited and hopeful about the recruiting classes that Stitt has put together. I believe the potential talent is there to get us back into the playoffs and win more than one game in the playoffs in 2017. He has his recruits and transfers, he has several of our toughest conference games in WaGriz, now let's see him put it together for a successful 2017 season and for chrissakes don't lose to the Scats 2 years in a row.

Then the discussion won't be just about how he recruits great character kids, even if they have middle of the BSC records. It will be, and should be, about how he can recruit great kids who not only are able to take us deep into the playoffs, but have quality character as well.

Royce didn't demand excellence, but Haslam and the Griz fan Base should.

I'd rather be bold and end up wrong from time to time than be a pussy who does nothing but pick apart press conferences.

And I don't need to tell you what I know. Ask Kyle.

Maybe you'd "rather be," but you aren't. You say nothing "bold." You make stuff up, are wrong about it 90% of time, and then try to paint yourself as "bold" when in fact you are simply trying to be the loudest jock-sniffer in the chorus. That's not bold, that's pathetic. The fact is, last year, after you announced that Stitt's record at Mines was "phenomenal" and I corrected that massive piece of disinformation, then you claimed that Mines was handicapped on schollies compared to other RMAC schools. A little research showed that to be completely false as well. I have no idea why people like you stick your chests out like you are "fans" when in fact you misrepresent nearly everything trying to bolster your own self-esteem by holding a team hostage to it.

As I noted last year when the "stats" began to show problems in our O and D, and noted that in general, DII coaches don't translate up well on offense, defense or recruiting, that Stitt's RMAC record did not support the claims made for him at DII, let alone to DI, and that was a simple fact of the matter, people like you went nuts. I said I thought we were in for some big disappointments. You made a lot of blustery predictions about this year just past. They were all wrong. Do you want me to recount them for everyone?

In the short term yes, because it is now about more that just football. Staying out of trouble, earning good grades, good graduation rates - these are things that those on eGriz care less about it, but in life those are what matter more. And administration will recognize that. He is here a minimum of 5 years if he wants to be, so all those cupcakes can suck it starting now. As for the 98% comment that's because I believe he will start winning on the field also - which should be secondary.

You may be correct about that. But if you are then I hope Stitt is a quick learner, because I have too many Scat friends and it is hard to listen to their stitt once in a while, let alone for a full year.

Plus - I love home playoff games
