CSM has been picking and previewing their FCS Top 44 teams leading up to the FCS kick off. The Griz landed at 15 today and have a decent write up for those interested:

Best Case: I can't see this happening but looking at the schedule...I don't see a single game where we should just expect to lose. Idaho, ND, CP, W.ILL, SAC, UNI are all tough. 10-1

Most Likely: I would say we win half the toss up games. That leaves us 6-5 or 7-4

Worst Case: If the wheels come apart and pass us on the highway. 4-7 (we have way too much talent for this to happen in my mind. We have 6 home games and 5 of the 6 are against teams that have just less talent overall than we have. (yes MSU is one of those and I will never expect we lose to MSU)

Agree they have lost a lot, have a new coach, and were picked to finish 7th in the MVFC. Nationally they are not getting a lot of love. The challenge is it’s a quality opponent and it’s on the road but should be a game the Griz can win.

I think that might be our only loss. They play in the toughest conference and are used to tough games and being away game could be tough. lots of upper classman etc. decent qb.

Ya know I have said that same thing. But our first road trip and against a team that is not gonna give us anything free. They are a good team, strong, tough nosed and almost an exact duplicate of us. Lost all their lineman pretty much, lost one big playmaker, Lost their Defensive stud. Their strengths are gonna be WR, DL, LB. Unknowns in the secondary and OL. They could be a top 15 team...or they could be bottom of the conference team. It's just an unknown. I guess I am just being cautious of anytime we are on the road now a days

Wow! I'll take some of what you're smoking. I'll give you Drake and PSU as sure gimmies. Of the remaining nine games I think most of them will be brawls that could go down to the wire. You may get blown out in a couple of them. Of those nine games if you win five that's pretty good. You'll end up at 7-4 or 6-5 is my guess.

Not smoking anything. I guess at the end of the season we will dig this thread up. One of us will have to admit we were wrong. I am humble so if it is me I will admit I was wrong, if I am right I won't say I told you so. You probably thought Hilary was going to win...no?

I think you need to review your history a bit. In Bobby's last rodeo at UM the Griz never lost an FCS game by more than 17 points, and that was one time (and they avenged the loss later, in the playoffs). So if you're looking for the Griz to be 'blown out' a 'couple' of times, you need to check yourself. Didn't come close to happening then, not likely to happen now.

Agreed, I would also consider an Idaho team that thinks it is going to dominate, doesn't, and completely falls apart by the end of the season. Idaho being 4-8 last year doesn't scream dominance. Even if they are moving down.

I see a 9-2 or 8-3 season more likely than a 6-5.

This coaching staffs experience alone is worth a .500 season. That's before we talk about our team or schedual.

I will absolutely admit if I'm wrong, in fact I'll eat my shorts and never ever post on here again if the griz go 10-1 in 2018. Just not going to happen. I'm on record many, many times saying I think Hauck is going to get you back towards the top of the Big Sky but it's not going to happen over night. You guys are expecting a miracle if you think he's instantly going to come in, go 10-1, and win the Big Sky with what he was left with on the current roster. And no, I was fairly certain Trump was going to win but I had no idea he would kick her ass so soundly. :lol:

ok lets do this if they don't go at least 8-3 I never post again. If they go at less than 8-3 you are out. so I could be out in 4 games...maybe we could get the moderator to ban whichever's IP address loses.

Thank you for posting here all the time! it seems you are much like a ABQ and infatuated with my grizzlies....that’s awesome we love fans!

On another note I’d say 5% of the Fanbase is predicting a 9-2 or 10-1 type of season. The majority here think 8-3 or probably 7-4 is a realistic record. Please don’t lump what a few people say as the spoken word Here. Hope that helps since you’re such a huge Griz fan now I wanted to make sure you got off on the right foot
