College Revenue/Spending

This article is pretty interesting, you can see Montana comes in at #128.

Pretty interactive, you can click on the school and see both revenues and expenses. Its cool to compare what we gain from ticket sales, about 3 million more than say Montana State, and also how much we pay coaches compared to other schools.

And Texas right behind them lol.....those Texas schools sure know how to make money.

Also interesting in the article is looking at the schools expenses. i pulled up a few schools on different screens. To compare side by side.

As we all know, we pay our coaches at both Montana schools much less than the other similar sized schools..about 2-3 million less a year than the Dakotas.

We also spend about 2 million more than MSU on our facilities...

Were pretty on par when it comes to licensing, NDSU does a little better, championships help that number...

And finally how can a student afford to go to JMU???? They collect over 36 million from student fees!!!!! They come in at the #59 spot

Population is greater, i'd argue we'd be in a very similar situation if we had 28 million people in our state, football is pretty damn popular in Montana we just don't have a lot of people

Oh but likely most impressive....we continue to outpace everyone in ticket sales.....once again proving that we have the best fan base in the nation...the numbers dont lie!

Idaho on the other hand...less than 700k in ticket sales....ooouchh

In comparison to college, yes, I agree.

Also this puts to rest the whole debate about what schools athletic programs get subsidized the most. Montana is actually the lowest in all of FCS.

Good for us....MSU in comparison isnt bad either when compared to the rest of the FCS, coming in 9th.

NDSU is right behind us at #2. Its interesting to see the structure of the NDSU program and Montana.

Numbers are so similar across the board except for coaches pay...and they have 5 championships :?:

Think if we paid Stitt more, the team would produce more wins?

Think if we had paid previous coaches more. We might not have ever needed to hire Stitt
