Looking at the FBS top 25, the biggest game in FBS football that week looks to be #7 (6-0) Washington at #10 (6-1) USC (who will fall in the rankings after the embarrassing blowout loss to Notre Dame). USC also hosts #16 Utah this coming weekend, which could be a loss.

The next best games are #22 (5-1) LSU vs #11 (6-1) Alabama or unranked (6-1) Missouri at #1 (7-0) Georgia.

Could the Griz be a potential host that week vs Sac State? Coming off of the big win vs #3 Idaho and hopefully taking care of business vs Northern Colorado we could be sitting at (7-1) and should be in the top 10 in both polls. Depending on what Sac State does vs MSU next weekend and Idaho State the following, they could be ranked in the top 2 sitting at (7-1).

North Dakota State also goes to South Dakota State that weekend, but with NDSU quite possibly being the 4th best team in the Dakotas this year and the fact that NDSU has lost to SDSU the last 4 games in a row, that might not be as big of a draw as in years past.

Thoughts? It seems like they have been selecting an FCS site the past few years and this will be a big night game.

I think the only way they come to Missoula is for Cat/Griz.

And there's no way it happens this year. Way too many matchups of currently ranked FBS teams that day. Oregon/USC. Penn st/Michigan. UGA/Ol Miss. Duke/UNC. That would be my vote. How often do those 2 basketball powerhouses get ranked in the top 25 for football?

As good as Sac State may or may not be they have absolutely no viewing appeal to anyone other than the 5000 or so that show up for their home games! Agree with puck...Griz/Cat or bust and two years in a row makes it a slim chance...

The amount of people that give two sh it’s if cgd shows up blows my mind. On the other side, there has to be a perfect storm of no good game the week of Griz cat like last year or a big matchup early where they like to hit an fcs school.

I think you are right on with the possibility of that being a week CGD might do an FCS game. 🤞 the Griz are considered!
If it is a week for an FCS school, I’m afraid they would pick SDSU vs NDSU and go to Brookings though.
Go Griz!
