The article's last paragraph hits it on the head. No games had worse weather than the '94 quarterfinal game in Youngstown. A deluge of freezing rain the whole game; impossible to stay dry and temps about 30 F. Went to the car at halftime to get the heater going and try to find some drier clothes. It was all we could do to make it back to the car after the game. And no DD made it more painful.

The 10/10/09 CPSLO game was no day at the beach, either. A healthy wind coming down the canyon made the walk across the Van Buren bridge a chiller. About 12 F at tailgate time as I recall. Worse because we were not prepared in early October. When we got home, all the leaves had come down green.

I think it's kind of interesting that the only games I remember as being REALLY cold were ones the Griz lost, i.e. Delaware, Wofford, UMass, Cats in 2010. I definitely don't recall the SFA game in '95 as being so bad, and yet it's the coldest one to date.

Been gone since 95 and I have made 5 of the top 8 coldest games!

In '06 it was so damn cold the Griz didn't even play and UMass still only scored 21 points...

So we're 4-4 in our own stadium when the temperature is less than 24 degrees, and 1-2 when it's less than 17? I guess we're screwed.

I attended 32 of those games. For my money, Delaware was hands down the coldest. It may have been 8 degrees at kickoff, but at the end of the game, when Damon Bodie returned a kickoff for a touchdown, almost forcing the game into overtime, it was much colder than 8 degrees.

The 93 Delaware game was the coldest one for me. Cloudy, cold and lost the game. Even wrapped in blankets and the cold weather gear, my feet could not be felt for a half hour. After that game the Griz were unbeatable against the triple option for many years. GO GRIZ!

+1 ... and I've been at every single one of those games.

This has at least one Chants booster up in arms: Steve Ross, who has taken to the Internet to question why this game shouldn’t be played at a neutral site.

To which we say: How about Havre?

C'mon Fritz ... you're just trolling here.

No kidding. I was in Great Falls the morning of that game and it was much warmer. Didn't bring nearly enough clothing to the game. Thank goodness I was young and was jumping around a lot at that game.

I just saw a change in the halftime show program. Al Gore is going to give a talk on global warming.

Really? I was hopeful we might burn a railcar of coal.

Been to every one of those games.

- 1995 v SFA I don't even remember feeling cold, just had so much fun watching the Griz crush the Aggies.

- 1993 v Delaware I was in the press box, so yeah there's that.

The two that I remember "feeling" the coldest at were that 07 Wofford game and 2010 Cat game. Maybe b/c the Griz lost... but I just remember being miserably cold at both.

I was at all of those games except Wofford. The 2002 Cat game, if it was 32 degrees out that day then I must be the coldest-blooded SOB around

it was so cold this morning, when I went out to pee I started off size Grizzly and finished a size Chanticleer. That was for you BW, but some credit goes to Jay Leno.
